Cask handpump at The Foundry Brewpub, Canterbury, Kent 16th July 2011, in company of Ian and the jolly nice brewer Tom? who gave us a tour and chat about the brewery. Clear dark gold/light amber. Earthy (Ian notes) minerally, flinty quite unusual. Really nice beer with a middling thrusty bitterness, nice sweetness. Some banana, itís interesting and very likeable, some hops showing late on and there is a bitter finish. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle from the brewpub shared at the campsite in Deal Kent. Hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting. Aroma is hedgerow berry hop with some grass and mineral. Flavour is earthy straw, berry hop, orange peel and some grassy hop. Assertive hop bitterness. Lively palate , dry and grainy on the tongue. Decent drop.
