Cask conditioned at The Queen’s Head, Rye, Sussex E. Chestnut with cream head. Tricky one this, there was a sour grain flavour about it, toffee, vanilla and a hint of alcohol. Looks like it wasn’t at it’s best, but still drinkable so not returned. Hmmm.

Cask supplied by Harrisoni at Pat’s birthday tasting. Colour is like a nice brandy or cognac. Clear reddish brown. Nose is very good. Sweet hoppy rye, touch of citrous. Taste is unexpectedly simple, bit of malty rye, but not much else.
