3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sm89walt (1419) - Norwich, - JAN 9, 2012
Cask - The Foundry, Canterbury. Poured a clear, dark amber colour with a small & lasting creamy white, lacy head. Hoppy, fruity & subtly floral also with light notes of spice surfacing. Initially juicy but finished on a lingering dry bitter note. Went well with their BBQ burger, cutting through the sweetness of the sauce. Fresh & crisp bitterness, not overly heavy. Probably should have had this before the Haka in that respect. A decent all rounder & all day drinker.

Nettly aroma, mostly meh. Taste massively bolder - great bitter hops. Soft palate. All round nice bitter, plenty of character, and not unbalanced.
