Hazy deep golden orange color, with little head. Aroma bit woods (oak), sourness. Medium body.
Taste is great. Perfect balance between the sour, woody and fruity lambic. Complex and delicious. Very good.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 15, 2008 2007 Bottle. Some beer leaked around the cork and rusted the cap. Hazy orange body under a small foamy white head. Sweat, fermented apple, and tart acidic/lactic acid. The flavor trends towards the bitter/funky grapefruit rind end of the lambic spectrum. Notably bitter, perhaps the most "hoppy" of any gueuze I’ve tried. Finishes with more bitter grapefruit. I don’t detect much in the way of cognac but this is still a pretty good gueuze. sloth (1691), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 6, 2008 Pours a small white head, thin and short lived, lace is minimal. Hazy dark gold color. Nose is large, sweat, leather, fruit, yeast and light citrus. Body is light, fairly well carbonated, medium acidity, nicely tart and palate cleansing. Musty, fruity flavors, apple, light grapeyness and citrus, Leather, mustiness, with some horsey notes. Notice the wood (nice wood too!) but no real cognac flavors. Dry, tart and fruity finish. Sweeter than other Cantillons, maybe? Though i will admit it,s not near as tart as most, making this reasonably drinkable. A nice treat provided by eaglefan, thanks Brian! Would be nice to have one or two to age, see how it changes. Odeed (1682), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2009 (Bottle) Pours golden with a small off-white head. The aroma is super citric and super bretty with notes of lacto, lemon, rhubarb, horse blanket, barnyard, cow urine, tart black currant, cheese, spicy oak and dry wood alongside a light buttery and alcohol warming cognac tone. Light fruity esters, dry pineapple, apples, and minerals and light spicy. Wheat, hay and dry cracker-like malt. The nose is “layer upon layer” complex. The flavour is dry, light bitter and medium to heavily acidic. Lots of citrus and a fair amount of brett. Wheat, hay and cracker-like malt. The mouthfeel is tart and “spicy”. Light carbonated. The finish is of dry wood and citric acid. Near medium bodied. The beer is just as lovely as all Cantillon products. wetherel (1658), Encinitas, California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 4, 2008 Generous bonus bottle from miketd. He’s seems to be the importer for all the US ratings. Thanks Mike! Opened at Lost Abbey 2nd Anniversary with many friends. Pours cloudy yellow amber color. I would almost say it’s my favorite gueuze from Cantillion. They are awesome. Many comment they can taste the cognac, but I can’t. At least not in this enviromnent. Easy to drink. Mild sourness. Complex and very well balanced. I did a side-by-side of this and Isabelle Proximus, and I like the Isabelle a tad more, but I give them the same rating. Excellent!
