5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
02-MAR-2013, 2010 vintage 0,375 l bottle, @home, from Ølbutikken.
Opened with Morten to celebrate a huge tax refund. I have been holding on to this bottle since release. How will it present itself?
Pours slightly hazy red with lasting, lacing pink head.
Aroma is blueberry, tart, gun powder - lactic, and funk.
Taste the same. Mostly just pure blueberry juice.
Quite full body, soft but still lively carbonation with a long tart and blueberry finish.
My first perfect beer, my first perfect 5. Must seek out again:-)
The perfect 5 may be influenced by the hype around the brew and/or the tax refund, but this IS the best beer I have had.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2007 vintage (not sure if it was batch 2 or 3) shared thanks to mlunger12 at RBWG! Pours a hazy reddish purple from the bottle with thin ring of white lacy head. Aroma of funky farmhouse yeast and tart fruit; taste follows, bittery tart awesomeness. Wow, this was pretty awesome.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
2007 vintage I believe shared at the RBWG courtesy of mlunger12. Poured from 75 cl bottle into a tulip. Violet color fading to watery blue transparency on the edges. Little/no carbonation with thin off-white head that quickly faded. Nose is acidic funk, vinegar, blueberry skins. Taste is similar with tart blueberry, lemon rind, and tannins. Very crisp and dry. Excellent.

Rbwg mlunger once again with a big one. Reddish purple white head collar. Funk and blueberry tart. Effervescent blueberry fruity and earth. I wish I had more.

Medium bodied lending towards a dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
09/02/2013 375ml bottle (thanks Fonefan!).

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Rating #3500. Vintage 2012. 375mL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn (thank you very much, Alex!), pours a pink-tinged dark cranberry colour with a small pink head. Aroma is full of blueberries, blackberries, and cranberries, a mild funky quality, and some pitted fruits. Flavour is remarkably complex, full of what seems like more than just blueberries - though blueberries are the first fruit that spring to mind, along with blackberries and cranberries. There is a medium funkiness, along with a delicate vinous quality, and obviously a tart quality that is not puckering, but quite dry. Finishes lightly funky, very dry, a bit vinous and fairly fruity. Highly complex and one of my favourite Cantillons, though no doubt overhyped.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle, batch 8, thanks Henrik! Pours a deep raspberry red to purple with thin pink head. Aroma is vinegar, dairy and some mild funk. Taste is light blueberry at the front with more vinegar sourness as it goes through. There is another fruit note (raspberry?) going on here but I’m not sure what. The sour level is pretty spot on and there is very little fake blueberry. A nice fruit lambic if you like blueberry.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2010 375ml- A-cloudy raspberry red on the fringe with deep crimson center. One finger of thinning pink head and minor lacing. S-Pungent cranberry, blueberry and raspberry foundations. Nose begins with good salty funk, vinegar and dry oak and must. Ends with a slight sour sting and berries. M-smooth and good carbonation. Some creaminess yet dry. T-incredibly mild and smooth given the aroma. Still pleasantly tart on the front and sour on the back. Cranberries, raspberries and red table wine tannins create the solid structure of the taste. Blueberries are there but not overwhelming. Notes of lemon, vinegar, sour cream, earthy rhubarb and mild funk ornament the base.
