2010 vintage. Poured very hazy with a great ruby/purple color and small pinkish head. Some blueberries on the nose, musty, lots of funk. Initial sweetness from the blueberries up front, but quickly fades to a very nice sour and funk taste. Nice dry, lingering finish with a tart aftertaste. Big thanks to mtjoseph for chance to try this one.

Perfect pour. Cheese filled aroma. I really can’t describe more than that. No blueberry present. Blueberry is upfront but fades quickly. Slight acidity towards the finish.

Slightly hazy brilliant purple red colour, no real head. Aroma of blueberries, funk, lambic, berries, citrus, lemon peel. Light tart flavour, blueberry skins, grape skins, light astringent, hint of sweet berries. Finish blueberry skins, astringent, some funk. I love lambic and I love wild blueberries. In this beer the combination is nice, but not really more than the sum of it´s parts - which was a bit what I was hoping for. Still, a solid brew, not the ultimate brilliant Cantillon, some are better, and this one is a bit too hyped even, but nonetheless definitely worth searching out.

Sampled @ Borefts 2013 day 2 fron bottle thanks to 77ships. Dark pink to purple color, small pinkish head. Smell lots of berries and a bit sourish. Taste lightly sourish, berries, grapepeel. Very balanced, nice beer.

I’ve had the opportunity to taste this one twice at Borefts this year. This is my rating from day 1, which I verified on day two. Purple colour with a medium sized pink head. Smells fresh, sour, fruity and strawberry. Tastes some mint, sour, fresh, strawberry and cherry. Medium body and great carbo. To be honest: I’ve had sour beers that I liked better iirc, but it is top notch.

Finally. 375 ml. 2013 Vintage (about 1 month old) bottle obtained in a trade with Dedollewaitor. Took a tasting glass @ Borefts 2013, split the rest with some people. Cork is wet on top & has taken some of the beer in, looks purple at the bottom, this one of the old Cantillon corks. Appearance is incredible, radiant purple, red grapes, pink shades, head is incredibly radiant pink but sadly disappears immediately, this looks incredible. Smell is old musty, blueberry & red grape skins, slight berries, cork, brett, funk,… not bad. Taste is musky grape skins, blueberry skins, old musty, cork, old wine, floral, musty, funk, light tart, brett,… Very dry, finishing carb. More grape skins than blueberry, not that impressive by Cantillon standards, this is a bit like St. Lamvinus but not as neat as the better bottles of that one. I will give it 4.5 because it is a good brew but I have rated other Cantillon’s much higher. This is clearly way overrated because it is rare but actually obtainable, that is just it.

Sample, generously shared by Kraddel @ Borefts 2013. Pours a pinkish, purple, headless beer. Aroma is tarty, blueberry, red fruits and Brett. Some oaks detected as well. Flavour is light stringent sour, very, very fruity. Very dry finish and a long lasting, tart aftertaste. Well crafted!
