UPDATED: JUN 4, 2009 Bottled sample, thanks to Todeon and andersand. Pours a beutiful purple/red color with white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of bluberries and funk. Flavour is very fruity and of course tart with berries. Quite dry, but with some sweeter notes from the berries, some earthy and grassy notes even, and a balanced funkyness. Very good stuff indeed. More balanced than their standard kriek for example - though it’s still sour, it’s not as extreme and just utterly tasty.

Bottle, big thanks to onkelgobber!, MAD tasting. Pours purple with a pink head. Lovely looking beer for sure. Light blueberry aromas, sourness, earthy. Taste is sharp sour, fruity. Vinous, light a sparkling, dry, fruit-wine. Interesting, glad I got to try it.

75cl bottle at beer nerd gathering at Appellation Wines Comely Bank, 28.08.14. Thanks to onkelgobber. Appearance - plum in colour with a creamy head that thins fairly quickly. Nose - initially wild yeast dominates the fruit which is tight like a young red Burgundy wine. Returning after an hour, the blueberries are out in all their glory. Taste - again, initially this has dry leafy tannins like a young tannic wine. There is also high acidity. You’re required to search for the fruit. Then returning after an hour, the blueberry has taken centre stage and the tight tannins have relaxed while the tangy acidity is still there. Palate - initially a tight and tannic beer with high acidity. The texture is tight and the finish is long and dry. After breathing, the fruit comes forward. Overall - recommend this is decanted to bring out the best experience.

Bottle. Looks the part, purple with pink head. Funky earthy aroma, very little fruit. Taste is lightly funky, wineous, earthy. Lightly sour, bone dry. Decent but lacks a bit of bang

Drink in at ølbutikken. Pours Dark, hazy red with almost no head. Aroma has lots of Blueberry, blackberry and red grapes. Packed with fruits. Taste has both sweet and sour/dry fruit and sour vinegar notes. The blueberries are really subtile. It tastes like it contains lots of Them, but that they are unripe and rather weak in the taste. Vinous fruityness. Fairly full body and lively carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: 2012 vintage. 99% opaque fuchsia body with a creamy, big, lavender tinted foamy that plops itself nicely on top of the vibrant brew. Long lasting, though it leaves little lacing (if any) behind. Aroma is notably sour but not incredibly acetic to the nostrils. Jammy notes of blueberry & cherry, perhaps cherry even seeming stronger than blueberry. Tart, funky barnyard, LOTS of musty leather, notes of old, sopping wet corks left to rot & dry, an underpinning back-end lacto sourness, & plenty of damp wood left in the periphery. Taste, up-front, is full of pleasantly tart berry juice. Tart, but not overly sour. Being (relatively) fresh, however, this bottle is packed with fruit. Lovely blueberry, raspberry jam notes, also with big supporting notes of cherry & sour lemon. Mid-palate to finish shows more of the funky, complex side of the brew... Rotting wood, damp horseblanket, funky cheesecloth, & a finishing note of old leather. Gets more sour as it warms, bordering on puckering, but not quite there. Exceedingly dry finish with moderately acidic berry skins & dry wood. Though I agree some aspects of this beer may be overrated or overstated at the least, it’s still a fantastic lambic.

2013 vintage, 750mL. Pours a cloudy bluish red purple. Whitish head but not much. Slight farm-like aroma but not powerful. Taste is sour but with a weird bitter finish. There isn’t much blueberry here at all. Finished quite dry. Disappointing.

This one poured a pinkish yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of light funk, and lemon, really no blueberry Flavor was similar, no real blueberry, dry bitter lambic. Disappointing
