4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MPA (715) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), - JUL 31, 2011
Bottle (from the november 2005 RB-tasting at Dixens place - notes have been damaged by flooding of my basement, but this was such an insane tasting for me as I was new to such massive tastings, so I gave up on the detailed notes quite early). SUKUR! Fresh, delicious sour beer! All I could read from my notes... :-(

From my brother’s cellar-collection. Probably my favourite lambic yet - has an excellent combination of dry/tart, sour and fruity taste. The aroma is splendidly fruity and pleasant.

Bottled (thanks a million to Sir Lövenlund). Goldeny amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is wood, some tartness, wooden barrels and rather pleasantly sour. Flavour is tart wood, some mild notes of earthy and floral notes. Big dry and tart wooden notes in the finish. Really pleasant. Very mouthdrying.

Huge thanks to Mark Nolan for this one. One of the rare ones I had always wanted to try.
Pours a nice light yellowish golden with a white head. Head is fizzy and quick to disappear.
Wonderful funky earthy aromas. Lot’s of barnyard. Horse blanket and hay with light summer fruits.
Tasty as hell. Same earthy notes as I picked up in the nose. Horse blanket and hay. Mildly citric with a bit of acidic sting. Subtle grapes with notes of leather and a touch of wood.
Medium in body, light zippy carbonation damn damn enjoyable.

LCBS 2010. Golden pour. Whitish head. Aroma is total barnyard funk folks. Tons of hay, horseblanket, manure, sour funk. Flavor is damn funky, sour, tart, insane. Grape skins, light woody notes. Fruity. Sour. Freaking great.

Another ridiculous bottle shared by Marc at the LCBS 10. Wow, this is one sour lady. Aromas of barn, hay, and horse blanket. The taste was outrageously sour and bitter with grape and peach flavors.....

Thanks a million Jacob. Hazy orange with a small off white head. Aroma had lacto, barnyard, wood, leather, grapefruit and paches. Flavor was quite sour with plenty of lacto, wood, leather, barnyard, grapefruits, lemons and peach. Finished sour.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 yespr (22204) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - OCT 5, 2010
75 cL bottle, courtesy Lövenlund. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and classic Cantillon horseblanket and barnyard. Acidic and mild citric. Smooth fruity too. Shivering dry and acidic into a smooth fruity finish. Lasting dry and mellow acidic.
5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 Dickinsonbeer (5076) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 10, 2010
2005 vintage. 750 ml bottle shared by ygtbsm94 at the Cleveland summer tasting 2008. Thanks a million Brad. Pours a deep golden- light peach with a thin white film of a head. Aroma is sour peach and apricot must and skins, light green apple, tons of earthy and fruity funkiness- some horse funk, typical Cantillon dank moldy funk, which I love, lots of citrus lactic acid- and no aceto which is nice- soft mineral hints with a good woody white wine acidity. Flavor is more sour peach, herbal white wine, tons of lactic acid- gets fairly sour towards the end- mineral and woodiness in the back of the throat. As it warms- get more sharp acids, yet still lovely, fruity, leathery, funky, barnyard, Cantillon complexity- strong sourness lingers for a while in the back of the throat. I can still remember drinking this one to this day- one of the best beers I have ever had.
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 thebaldwizard (1203) - Ohio, USA - MAY 2, 2009
Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad. This is one incredible sour. Pours a murky rust color with little head. The aroma was tons of oak and white grapes. Light and pleasant aroma. The carbonation is lively, but not over the top. Great flavor. Really easy to drink for the style. Lots of white grape flavors, earthy yeast, vinegar and lemon zest. One of the most unforgettable beers I’ve ever had.
