Clear light brown to amber, with a nice big white head. Nose is funky, sour lactobacillus, little white wine vinous, slight vinegar, brown air exposed apple flesh, musty, doughy bread. Taste is tart and sour, funky and musty, green apple, wine vinegar, white wine vinous, bread, tangy. Very nice. So good I polished off a whole bottle pretty quickly.

75cl corked and capped bottle at home, 2011 version - bottled in 2014. Transparent golden colour, no head. Nose and taste are quite complex, unlike any lambic I’ve tasted yet: not too sour with barnyard, skunky tones coming through nicely, fruity lemon zest and white grapes, warming malty (?) sweetness, cask notes too. Lingering finish, with sourness building up. No carbonation, soft and dry mouthfeel, good body (especially considering 5% abv). Authentic, pure lambic.

thome50 (1233) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - MAR 4, 2015
2001 label, 2004 cork date bottle via a trade back in 2009 for some Knuckle Sandwich. Finally opened a bottle at the March Libertine Bottle Share 2015. Pours a light orange with no head, obviously. Nose is funky socks, slight sweet pear. Taste is mild sour with some more funk and raisin. Nice but this is probably better fresh.

Not too sour, pretty balanced, but on the watery side. (for 2013 edition). But then again, sours are not my preference.

Bottle split two ways. Pour is copper and completely flat. Lots of funk, cheese, mushrooms, leather, lemon juice and some grains. Solid.

February 20, 2015. Bottle at home, 2014 vintage.
Light hazy orange with some white bubbles quickly dissipating. Aroma is funk, tart green apples, barnyard and lemon. Taste is sweet and tart apples up front, some lemon acidity and funk. Finish is light dry woody and tart, some funky notes. Smooth, flat, medium mouthfeel.

(Cantillon Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru) Bottle 750 ml, served into a Cantillon tumbler, ABV 5% Golden orange colour on the body, a bit hazy, no actual head, just some bubbles forming, laving a thin line around the glass after they pop. Nice aroma, wine notes, sour apples, some wood Nice taste too, basically follows the aroma, quite sour but not as much as I expected, well balanced. Tart and dry on the palate, medium thin body, low carbonation. Tasty.
