Flaska från Ölbutikken i Köpenhamn, en 2007:a. Mörkt gyllenfärgad men ovanligt lite skum. Munkänslan är lite platt. Saknar kolsyra och den lite lite krva träigheten och syran. Istället rund, len, lätt sötma, snäll syra, syrliga äpplen, mycket trä och torr siderkaraktär. Fina smaker, bra balans men kanske i snällaste laget.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with a thin bubbly white head, tart fruit aroma, acidic taste, tart apples, some sourness.

Sample of both 2013 and 2012 bottles at (Hopp)Kurtkeller 016: Cantillon-tastic 01 on 10/11/2014. Slightly hazy orange-amber color with a thin white head that disappears quickly to a minimal outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit and herbs. Light-bodied with flavors of tart green apples, mildly funky yeast and mild spice. The finish is fruity with a tart apple and citrus aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

750mL bottle pours a hazy orange/golden with a minimal bubbly white head. Fruity musky aroma, oak and lambic yeast, mildly tart. Almost a restraint in the flavors, very light hesitant flavors, mildly tart, dominant oak, barnyard. Very light lambic, nothing really mouth puckering, still nice and well rounded. Might serve this as an introductory lambic. Mellow, Enjoyable.

Pours hazy amber with no head. Aroma of moldy oak, a clean tartness, sour goose berries, funky notes and some delicate floral notes. The taste is tart and dry with notes of dry wood, vinegar, funky notes, floral notes, sour goose berries and just overall very harmonic beer. Really delicate.

Sampled from a bottle at WTWBA 2014 in Minneapolis. Very cool to try this! Golden pour. Getting some apple, and plenty of funk. Fairly soft overall. Very nice.

Funky and barnyard and a good sour flavor on the hay and bready flavor. So good. Really hard to benchmark something like this, but worth it to share with some friends who love wilds and sours. Where The Wild Beers Are!

750ml bottle served in a Thumbler glass. A: Pours an orange clear color and no head is formed. No lacings are formed or left S: Very fruity. Strong notes of white grapes and appels. Vinegar. Notes of sweet grains, Lambic yeasts and wood T: Surprinsing in the mouth. Slighlty sweet grains upfront. Again, very fruity with strong notes of white grapes and apples, mainly. Vinegar tartiness. Lambic yeasts, a little bit metallic. Good notes of oak and a bit of hops bitterness in the very end. An authentic Lambic but quite smooth for a Cantillon, I mean, not sour like their Kriek Lambic, for example M: Light body. Very low carbonation. Slightly sweet and fruity aftertaste followed by mild sourness O: Good drinkability. Not the best Cantillon I’ve had but still a classic. Recommended [ BA Review @ 1/19/2013 ]

"unblended lambic aged three years in oak. after a couple Cantillon beers, I’m just not seeing what the fuss is about, ESPECIALLY for the price! aroma is muddled lambic/sour notes, like I’ve had before but watered down without the usual pleasantries. below avg. it pours flat - no head. no carbonaion provides a watery mouthfeel, and since the flavor was also watered down vegetal sour, acidic...this just isn’t a good beer, for any price. sour, but not too much. cidery, but barely. this isn’t delicate, it’s just dull. almost all lambics i’ve had have been better.

Bottle. Pours intense clear orange golden with no head and no carbonation. Aroma is cantillon funk, brett, barnyard, acid tart apples and some wood. Taste is pretty sour and clean. Vinegar. Watery feel due to the lack of carbonation. Dry oaky finish along with astringent tartness.
