Bottle. Ta Mesandsim!!! Very nice. Typical sharp Cantillon sourness, with some nice soft tart edges. Agree with the other rater about the cobweb dryness. Grapefruit, white grapes, earthy, dry and sour. Another superb gueuze from these guys.

Tasted at Vilvordia fest in Jette. Head disappears quickly, but I’m not sure how long that bottle was open. Murky orange color. Aroma is perfect, classy Cantillon, sweaty lemons and must. Reasonably sour flavor goes spiderweb-dry into the finish. Definite, zesty, grapefruit tang there in the backdrop. Smooth, tangy, sparkling and dry. Surpasses my high expectations.

750 ml bottle shared at crizay’s house
My compliments to Brad for bringing the latest entry to my personal Top 10 in a while. Usually Cantillon beers are so harsh that to work through a bottle alone is a task. This one though I think I could manage. It makes me want to go open a cellared Cantillon just thinking about it.

Aroma / Appearance - The dirty white head melds perfectly with the cloudy golden body. The nose was vintage Cantillon - sweaty gym socks, cheese, and sharp lemon zest. Oaky notes round out an all-world combination of sourness.

Flavor / Palate - Lemon, blue cheese, and a leathery aftertaste compose a wonderful blend of sourness and fruitiness. The sharpness of the finish gives it a nice touch. Even this young it shows signs of deserving all the accolades that are sure to be heaped upon it.

25.04.’09 @ Jette (VBPF) From bottle 75 cl. WOW ! Hazy orange color, with white head. Aroma woods, some yeast, sweet. Medium body. Taste bit spice, fruit, good sourness, wood, and fruit touch. Dry ending. LOVE IT !

Medium, but fast gone yellowish head over orange, fully hazy beer. Citric lambic/Brett nose, very citrussy, and I’d dare say citrusblossom, with a honeyish impression. Superb sweet/sour balance, fruity (pineapple, citrus, green apple, yellow raspberry) and slightly smoked saddlesoap. Spritzy, refreshing despite the tannines and restsugars (still young). Will do with a couple of years for the Brett to clear everything out. A famous beer for a welcome sprout! Congrats to J&J!

Bottle@home. The bottle looks great. The beer in the glass is very zippy, sourish-woody aroma. Tastes sourish, not too intense, lemon-notes. Very well balanced, warming finish. Really great beer!

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a huge lazing off-white head. The aroma is tart with notes of citrus, horseblanket, and gooseberries. The flavor is tart with notes of grapefruit, lemon, gooseberries, wood, and brettanomyces, leading to a tart acidic finish. Thanks a million yespr for bringing it home and sharing.

Bottled brewed for De Heeren Van Liedekercke to mark the birth of the daughter of the owners on 23.10.08. This gueuze is a blend of lambic aged in cognac, Bordeaux and jonge lambic. The beer poured a fairly clear golden color with a thick white head with strong bubbles. The aroma had some straw notes, strong citrus character and some yeast notes were present. The taste is so fresh with a nice tart taste, citrus and some peppery and other spice notes. There were also some good orange notes, grapefruit as well. Overall this is one fantastic and vibrant beer that will probably get even better with age and I can’t wait to try it again.
