PilsnerPeter (1303), Flushing, New York, USA May 12, 2008 Bottle at Paul’s Hoboken Gathering: Hazy yellow with a white creamy head.Very complex nose of sour lactic funk, lemon-rind, some leather and other unidentifiable stuff. Fluffy crisp body. Very tart, borderline sour with some leather and sour fruit pit, tart grape-like fruity undertones and a very mild earthiness underneath everything. Bone-dry finish. Complex and outstanding.
yespr (5258), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 3, 2008 75 cL bottle, brewed in 2005. Pours hazy orange and with a white, semi-lasting - slowly diminishing with a nice lacework left. Aroma is mild orange fruit and nicely blended with a dry wood and brett-citric aroma, dry horseblanket too. Dry wooden initial flavour. Hops seem to completely gone. Shows a nice citric flavour following this. Mild sulphorish note before the finish. Smooth and balanced wood and delicate fruit flavour into the finish. Seems to have a bit of bitterness into the far finish. SDbruboy (1808), San Diego, California, USA Jun 28, 2008 750 bottle from sloth, thanks man. Pours clear orangey amber, with a small whitish head. Woody, dry, toasty, earthy aroma, really interesting smells. Tart, dry, vinuous, barnyard and cranberry. medium body and gentle carbonation. RCL (942), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jun 26, 2008 2008 Vintage according to the cork. Almost champagne like effervescence. Excellent lemony aroma with light spices; clove and mace. Flavor is true to the aroma. Very tasty. LawStudent09 (311), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 26, 2008 Thanks to BDR. Orange pour with a bubbly white head. Light fruits and funk on the nose. The aroma is wonderful. Sour deliciousness. Carbonation in the body. The funkiness and light fruit are there in the taste as well. WeeHeavySD (1497), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jun 21, 2008 2005 Vintaged cork, bottled in 2005, so brewed in 2002. Got this a long while back in a trade and have been saving it to drink with my brother. Shared with him and my girlfriend Cyn. Pours golden orange with a bright white ring. Nose is very funky, and very very good and supremely appealing. Taste is very tart very funky with lots of fruit and some light hop bitterness that could remain. This tastes amazing.
