3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
75cl bottle, from Geers or Cantillon directly, can’t remember. Labeled "Cuvée Saint-Gilloise". Poured in classic "Ginder Ale" glass. Pours dusty orange, minimal firm head. Sour nose, dusty attic, grassy manure, green apples and sour candy. Keep trying to smell the hops but can’t find any in there. Aroma is lipsmacking Cantillon tartness and funk. Very astringent, but I’m not the most seasoned geuze drinker. Obviously mostly sour, but there are worse out there. Palate is good, quenching, dry but not puckering. Would like to taste a more thoroughly dryhopped version.

Bottle @ Epic Sour Sourpuss Tasting, thnx to non-RateBeerians. Pours a clear blonde beer with a thin white head on top. No lacing going on, decent carbonation. Aroma is barnyard, horse blanket and other typical gueuze aroma’s. Some funky Brett characteristics as well. Flavor is medium sour, well balanced and even a sweet touch to it. Prickly mouthfeel, well carbonated and has a short, bitter sour aftertaste. Nice one.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught @ Akkurat as St Gilloise. Pours a hazy medium straw, with a thin white head. Bone dry, medium bodied, low bitterness, balanced CO2. Funky, spicy taste, brett, lemon peel, hay, earth, apricot, dried fruit. Not as tart as the other lambics from Cantillon, but just as balanced and complex. And this is rating #666 for this beer - how metal isn’t that? (2013-12-12) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from bieresgourmet.be webshop. Pours a clear deep golden body with a large foamy white head and a lot of visible bubbles in the glass. Nose is mild citric acid tones, herbs, wet grass, hay and hints of horseblanket and grape peel. Taste is dry horseblanket tones, bitter herbs, lemon peel and hints of grape peel and gooseberries. Dry, light body, high carbonation. Quite nice "geuze" with a bitter touch, but not as complex or intriguing as many other Cantillon creations.
