3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Glass @ Cantillon from a pitcher. Light amber color slightly hazy, served still with no head. Aroma is herbal tea and sugar, very little funk. Flavor is very similar to sweet tea, not much sourness gets past the sugar. Lightish body with some sugariness and no carbonation. Very interesting “beer”, if you served this to me without telling me what it was I’d think it was sweet tea.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Served from traditional lambic mug @ Cantillon, Brussels. :-) Pours a clear deep orange-amber body, which is quite still and with no head retention. Aroma is faint oaky vanilla tones, sweet caramel malts and hints of straw. Taste is unexpected, featuring bitter tannins, oak, sugar, vanilla and hints of grass. Not too sweet, and quite drinkable, but the flavors seem unfinished and in a bit of disharmony. Thin body, no carbonation. A strange creation - not the best I’ve had from Cantillon but quite interesting.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Finally got to taste this - a must-have that I didn’t expect too much from. Cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma of wood, sugar, fruit and funk. Sweet, wooden/fruity flavour with notes of green leaves, and a tannin bitterness. Very unique, actually not as lambik-like character as some of the sweeter faros.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma of citric notes, moderate funk, and citrus zest -- no hint of sweetness. Flavour brings out a combination of sweet and citric sour notes, with citrus zest, and a little funk. Very citric and zesty, with the right addition of sugar. Awesome faro -- probably the best faro I’ve had.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2013 Draft @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Amber with a lot of creamy foam. This is a good faro. Sour and sweet (candy sugar) but not too sweet like many other faro’s. Very fruity.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Rated on 27.2.2013.
Pours a hazy, murky golden colour with a large foamy head. Aroma of cough drops, licorice and citrus. Flavour of sweet syrup, cough drops, pungent citrusy notes, caramel and wood. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a sweet, slightly tangy finish. Surprisingly good for a faro.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at moeder lambic. Faro’s are obviously not my thing. I’m sure this is extremely well made but I couldn’t drink it. Baby vomit, bile, sweet vandi sugar. Absolutely love every other beer made by cantillon but this is a tough one to swallow
