2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From the cask at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Darker than the lambic, more browny orange, hazy and big head. Basically tastes like lambic with a whole load of sugar dropped in (err wonder why?). Now I drink tea and coffee without sugar and don’t like them with any sugar in so I wasn’t going to like this really was I? Obviously becomes more approachable and less austere but somehow the sugar feels like it’s in precipitation and doesn’t blend with the beer. Stick to the unsweetened stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ moederlambik . Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of lacto acid, vinegar, some sugar, stable, yogurt and bit of sweet balsamic. Taste of sweet vinegar, some sweet sugar notes, balsamic and some sweeter fruits. Overall a bit of a "Flemish" feel to it. Pretty okay faro mayn!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Z kija w Moeder Lambik, Bruksela.
Piwo jest mętne o kolorze bursztynu i brudnej pomarańczy. W aromacie można wyczuć świeżość, karmel, kompot z rabarbaru i jabłek. Drewno. Smak piwa potwierdza słodki, łatwy w piciu lambik. Bardzo przyjemny. Wodnisty i mało gazowany.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught @ Moeder Lambic, Brussels. Pours murky amber with airy but stable white head. Clear vinous aroma, with subtle notes of fruit and hops. Bittter, hoppy onset, giving way to hefty vinous notes and touches of fruit and hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Vinous aftertaste with estery hints. Very good.

Pint at Ches moedeur, standard light barnyard cantillon with a molasses light sweetness in the background, minimal additional sweetness adds a layer of flavors, interesting

Tap. Hazy amber body with a small, white head. Aroma of barnyard, funk, yeast and brown sugar notes. Slightly sweet flavor that ends up dry and tart. Medium bodied oily texture and average carb. An excellent faro.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap, 25cL. @Moeder St Gilles, Brussels. An unclear orange beer with brown hues with almost no head. Poor persistence. Aroma is woody and smoky with an apple touch. Acid lactic. Wood and apple are easier to appreciate there than in the "pure" lambic version. First light sweet, then sharp sour note. In the middle and the end, heavy lasting sour. Good balance between sourness and sweetness. Sweetness doesn’t hide, it always underlies sourness. Nice dance. Light body, sugar thin texture, flat carbonation, sour finish with a light sugar sweet background. Overall, I really enjoyed this Faro : more woody and fruity, nice soursweet taste. Yes!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Somewhat opaque darker yellow with bubbly white foam head. Bittersweet aroma and taste, you have to get used to this. Interesting mouth feel. (Brussels 201405)

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask @ Moeder. Almost sweet, murky and thick. Honey and sugar mixed with apples, lemon and minimal funk. More true to style than other overly sweetened Faro’s I’ve had. Goes down way too easy and great as in-between-lambic beer.
