I have this while drinking Belgium beers tour in Belgium. At museum brewhouse is served. Wow! Another sweet Belgium beer, but is not so sweet like sugar stout. Sure it is like "gueuze" but I can drinking more of this because sugar helps remove sulfur and rubber taste that I am drinking in "gueuze". I would drinking with trappist beers!

Ottima, amara ma con moderazione e non eccessivamente aspra. Buon corpo, note di legno e resina, con finale secco.

One of the most beautiful Lambic experiences. Something sensational. I had it at Cantillon Brewery and at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. It is extremely particular thanks to the addition of rock candy. A great balancing between the sharp and sweet. An intense play of flavours giving us a special sensation. Absolutely to try whenever is possible. Served directly from the jug.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2007 Jug. Yep, I drank this as poured out of a jug at the brewery. I asked the brewer if there was any Faro since it was listed on their chalkboard but not on the menu, and he said that he had just completed a batch the previous day and had some from his first sampling left that I could try. Toffee-amber color, no head at all. Aroma of fresh-cut vegetation, honey, apricot, nectarine. Very "young" tasting and complex. Honey, apples, grapes, and hazlenut in the wonderful flavor. Cantillon Brewery rocks!

Blended at Moeder Lambic. deep amber, almost copper, hazy with just a few bubbles on top. Sharp acidic lemony lambik aromas mellowed by sugar. Toffee, raisins and lemon flavours, with a mild, but dry finish. Body is light as expected. A wonderful blend.

Poured up at Cantillon with clear deep gold to copper body and almost no head at all. The aroma is a big and yummy kiss of bread, musty funkiness and then a wide variety of fruity goodness. These notes are going together wonderfully with fruit like peach, apricot and plum. The taste is right there too starting with a pleasing fresh bready type grainy wort with a smooth yeasty tartness and plenty of fruit like peaches, apricots, plums and a bit of sugary sweet mango. Man this one is fresh, crisp, complex and refreshing. Love it. The fruit, yeasty tartness and graininess play so well together. It is very tempting to skip everything else planned today and tip more and more of this stuff back until they close.

Light tart aroma. Hazy amber/orange colour, no head at all. Sweet and fruity. Normally Faro is too sweet for me, but because Cantillon Lambic is so harsh their Faro turns out great. Sweet and sour finish with oak bitterness. Heavy finish but short.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2011 tap@Chez Moeder Lambic, only place where you can get this? except for the brewery, amazing bar, hazy, golden, whiskey colour with no head in a cute, small Cantillon glass, the sweetness from the sugar & the sourness of the Cantillon have seemingly neutralized each other or are at least in a perfect balance, making this a very unique experience, sweet & tart, caramel taste with minor oak, smooth, velvety, bit dry with almost no carbonation, interesting, definitely worthwhile/// sampled @ brewery from cask: wow, this one is far less, no balance here, thinned out a bit, sour, musty old, wet clothes lambic upfront, empty gap followed by dissolved, watery candy sugar, still far from bad but where is the balance in this one? Why the difference in quality & unison in blending?
