Was really surprised to see this show up at the bottle shop, pours a very murky orange-yellow with a big bubbly white head that fades. Aroma strong barnyard funk, hay and horse blanket, over ripe fruit, lacto. Taste is very sour at first, smooths out after a few sips, but still stays tart, funky, hay, a short lived bitterness that goes back to fruity and tart with tons of funk and some of the apricot as well, finishes very dry. Delicious, hope to have it again.

On tap at winking lizard barrel aged fest. Pours hazy lemon yellow, fluffy white ring. Acidic lemon, apricot, cedar on the nose. Real light refined body with a super lemon sour tartness that's drying on the finish. Almost perfection

My first Cantillon! Finally. Large format bottle from Tipples, capped and corked, with an Aug 30, 2013 bottling date. Cracked Feb 9, 2014. Pours into my tulip hazy apricot yellow with a very large fluffy and fizzy white head that dissipates relatively quickly. Aroma of apricots, lacto, yeast funk, dusty dryness. This smells both mouthpuckeringly dry and sour. Flavor is apricots up front and tart lemons, with another punch of sour in the middle. Finishes dry but soft with oak and apricots lingering with an extra lacto sour punch. Light bodied with medium to high carbonation. A yummy sour beer with lots to like. Looking forward to trying my Kriek now....ok as this warms it just gets better and better with more and more apricot coming out. Now I know why this is considered one of the best. Awesome, awesome brew.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden/copper with a white head. Aroma of apricots and peach, light sourness, tart notes, light wood notes, funkiness, and light malts. Flavor great blend of the fruits, the tartness and funkiness, and the lightness. Average texture for the style. A great beer.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Half bottle – part of a 5-bottle peach/apricot sour blind tasting, Aroma is that classic acidic funk that smells like a barnyard floor, but with a slight citrus, apricot and orange zest twist. The more the beer gets swirled in the glass the more the apricot comes out. The beer pours a cloudy yellow orange with a thin film sitting on top of the liquid. As the beer goes down there are rings of lace left behind. Taste is initially sour, with notes of hay, grass, citrus and finally the lactic apricot flesh. There are lasting flavors of grapefruit, lemon and some barrel tannins. As the beer warms up the tannin flavor gets a bit more aggressive. The body is somewhat creamy with high carbonation. The finish is very dry, sour and zaps all the saliva out of your mouth leaving apricot on your tongue. Overall an extremely inviting fruited sour with complex barnyard layers that is truly one of a kind.
