Half bottle Ė part of a 5-bottle peach/apricot sour blind tasting, Aroma is that classic acidic funk that smells like a barnyard floor, but with a slight citrus, apricot and orange zest twist. The more the beer gets swirled in the glass the more the apricot comes out. The beer pours a cloudy yellow orange with a thin film sitting on top of the liquid. As the beer goes down there are rings of lace left behind. Taste is initially sour, with notes of hay, grass, citrus and finally the lactic apricot flesh. There are lasting flavors of grapefruit, lemon and some barrel tannins. As the beer warms up the tannin flavor gets a bit more aggressive. The body is somewhat creamy with high carbonation. The finish is very dry, sour and zaps all the saliva out of your mouth leaving apricot on your tongue. Overall an extremely inviting fruited sour with complex barnyard layers that is truly one of a kind.

Shared bottle at the brewery. Muddy yellow orange body with a fingerthick white head. Super inviting fresh apricots dominate the nose with wooden notes present. Sour grapefruit and other fruity flavors in the mouth. Medium bodied. Smoothish to drink but astringent tendencies and notes of cereal late in the finish.

750 ml bottle, served in a tumbler. Bottled on 30-08-2013. Bright orange colour, pretty clear when carefully poured. My first ever experience with a Cantillon and with any kind of sours as well. First reaction during the smell: wow! I can honestly say Iíve never smelt something like this, perhaps itís too complex and over the top for me. Definitely some mature apricot pulp, notes of cellar/old basement, acidic lemon meringue, white grapes and cheese. Very fruity in the mouth, pretty sour but fortunately not something overpowering for an uneducated palate like mine. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, extremely smooth and drinkable, like a fine prosecco or a sparkling fruity white wine. Lingering fruity aftertaste that lasts seriosly forever. Mind blowingly good, Iím hooked and my wallet is going to complain pretty soon.

Bottle from mane liquor on Xmas! Pours a light golden with light fluffy head that fizzes out. Nose shows lovely sweet apricot, barnyard funk, citrus and some lemon. Taste is dominated by sour apricot, a lemony pepper hint, medium mouthfeel carries the carbonation all the way through. Heard good things about this beer and lives up to it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour an unclear yellow, with a beautiful white and slightly fluffy head. Aroma of classic Cantillon funk and barnyard, with a lot of fruity notes to it. Citrus, lemon peel, peach, unripe apricot, apricot jam, sour sweets. Some slightly earthy notes in here as well. This sure is a sour treat. The taste is dominant sour, but has plenty of fruity sweet notes to it. Slight bitterness in here somewhere. Medium bodied, with a rather fizzy carb, and a somewhat dry mouthfeel.
