Shared at a tasting hosted by Steebo on February 13. Vintage 2011. The pour is a pale yellow with a nice finger of white froth, leaving a couple spots of great lace. The aroma is lovely apricot with some strong brett on the middle. There is a little funk and some sharp tartness on the back end. The flavor is just as great. Lots of fruit, a strong tartness and a little applein there. The mouth feel is great. Lots of bubbly carbonation and a coating texture. The aftertaste is strong on sour, really tart lemon. This is great!

4 oz pour at wild friendship blend event at allagash. Beer was poured cold, maybe 40*F so it was very tart at first sip. Nice subtle apricot tart as the beer warmed. Exceptional color and taste. Overall easily one of the best sour beers I’ve tried.

2015/05/02 - Bottle shared at Nuetnigenough in Brussels. Pours a hazy orange honey colour with a fizzy, off white head that slowly reduces. Aroma is very fruity: huge apricot and fuzzy peaches, with hints of barnyard and oak. Taste tart citrus, apricot, peaches, hints of vinegar and mild barnyard. Lots of sour an moderate sweetness. Mouthfeel is light with lots of biting carbonation and a long, tart finish. Crisp, refreshing and delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at En Öl- & Whiskymässa, Gothenburg, April, 2015. From a ’14 bottle. Hazy peachy with a small white foam. Aroma is incredibly present with apricot, orange juice, lactic and slight funkiness with some wood, tiny hint of white pepper. Taste is above everything VERY fruity, with apricot, slight lactic tone of citrus and vinegar, slight fermented fruit bitterness in an otherwise dry finish. Medium body, low carbo, musty texture. Just a terrific, juicy, musty beer.

Fou’ Foune ’14 vintage Pours a vibrant, hazy peachy color, with a decent, fizzy head. Pure apricots. So much fruit, accompanied by wooden stone qualities, fermented apricots and leathery wood. The nose got a glue like, vinegar whiff to it, accentuating the funky tartness, while its focus remains without a doubt on the fruits. Perfectly carbonated, with a very refreshing light body. Taste mirrors the nose, regarding the apricots, revealing apricot pulp, vinegar, vaseline, plastic, soap, glue - all funked up, by leather and barnyard. The nose comes incedibly nice together, again, revealing its fruity characteristics. Finishes tart, dry, with a fermented fruit bitterness, still complimenting the apricots, leaving back a tooth pluckering sourness. Incredibly well pronounced apricots among a supersoft mouthfeel, wrapped up by a thirst quenching, dry sourness. Refreshing in body, juicy, with a sour lemon peel infusion, leaving with a long lasting, acidic tartness.

’14 Bottle poured into this Cantillon glass - It’s a nice hazy gold, with a one fingered white head that actually retains well. We’re starting off on the right foot already. Temperature was perhaps in the middle of where it needed to be - but I slow drank this one until it moved into the ideal threshold, and that’s where it really revealed its depth and complexity. Apricot pits to start this one off , mixed with lactic. Typical lambic funk is modest here, but it is here. White pepper, juice, and grass notes round off the nose. The flavor profile was jarring initially, but we got the palate lined up where it needed to be for this one very quickly. It’s musty, dank grasses, light lactic, with a well rounded tartness present. White pepper, earthy oak presence, and apricot juice and skins moving forward to lemon zest. The flavor profile is complex and deep, and near perfect at the proper temp. 2014 is a winner in my book and it was the winner of Mel’s ’15 Mini Apricot Tasting.

2014 bottle at home from brewberry Paris
hazy amber, no head, moderate carbonation, full bodied, slight Dusty fruit but overwhelming lemony citric sourness. Left overnight in the fridge carbonation subsides and a bit more apricot earthiness comes through but tartness still prevalent. Perhaps needed more age on it but disappointing VS the hype.

Tap@Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - (2012 Vintage) fuzzy burnished gold coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is prominent apricot, with some citric lemony notes, sour fruity, with some floral notes, high carbonation, nice mouthfeel with a dry finish. Very nice indeed.
