4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
’09. Bottle at Moeder Lambic in St. Guilles in Brussels. Golden yellow color. Medium white head. Lacy. Smells sour but somewhat similar to the lambic from the same year (I am also drinking it right now). ARoma is also nice citrus fruit of lemon. Head starts to disappear at the end. hits my mouth puckering but then balanced out perfectly by the sweet apricot. Wet finish also balances out the dry sour start. Finish is super long and leaves a balanced sour/touch of sweet. I get a lot of lemon through finish as well. Touches of light light caramel come through early. Really really a gem.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
(On tap at barVolo for Zwanze Day 2014, Sept 20 2014) Hazy medium gold with a dense, lingering white head. Aroma apricot, blue cheese, grass, floral, lightly sour. Palate initial light vinegar and lactic yoghurt mixed with some fresh apricot, cheese and woody notes in the middle, lingering lactic acid and a dried apricot aftertaste. Very clean finish with no bitterness. Light body and very soft carb. The apricots aren’t overpowering here but they’re still prominent yet held in perfect balance so as to not overwhelm all the other complex flavours going on. Just delightful to drink, an amazing beverage for a sunny patio (or anywhere).

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Has a hazy, orange/peach colour. Sharp aroma with some vinegar and apricot syrup. Very smooth and easy to drink for a sour beer. It’s tangy but sugary sweet too giving some balance.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hazy, peach color with a fizzy head that quickly dissipates. Not very aroma-iffic, but it does exixhibit some yeasty must, white wine vinegar, vague soft fruits. The flavor is very acidic, tart, and sour, but I don’t get much apricot. However, after having a bite of greasy or rich food, the sour cuts through and the apricot is definitely there. The beer is medium light and we’ll carbonated. Overall, this is a great beer and I like it, but I just don’t have an overly refined palate for sours yet.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
750ml bottle with cap and cork served in a Thumbler glass.
Bottle from 20th of August, 2012.
A: Pours a light orange color forming a small white fizzy and very bubbled head. Small retention and no lacings formed or left
S: Very fruity. Strong notes of apricots and peaches. Lambic yeasts. Metallic. Vinegar. Light notes of malts
T: Very fruity. Again, mainly apricots and peaches. Lambic yeasts. Slightly sweet upfront. In overall, a dry and tart taste, however, much lighter acidity if compared with the Lou Pepes, for example. A little bit metallic with light notes of malts. A very light bitterness can be felt in the very end. Quite smooth and pleasant taste
M: Light body, good carbonation. Smooth fruity aftertaste. Quite good taste of peach left in the mouth
O: Excellent drinkability. Excellent fruit beer. Mandatory to Cantillon fans, independently of the hype around it

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden, with big, but short lasting white head. Quite carbonated for a sour. Aroma is sweet apricot, tart, apples, hint of peach. Taste is upfront sour and tart. As it warms more sweet fruits and clean apricot. Fizzy on the tounge. Long sour finish with some green apples.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Borefts 2014. Not my first choice, but this was an excellent replacement. Sour as hell at the first few sips. Once I got used to it I started tasting the Lambic and a distinct (dried) apricot taste. The latter made it actually a bit sweeter. A very nice beer to drink as a step away from the beers I usually have.
