COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

Golden each pour with no head. Aroma is very mild funk and minerals. Taste is lovely savoury quality - peppery, funky, minerally. Very tasty gueuze without being intense. Solid stuff.

Corked 75 cl bottle @ home (2012 vintage). Pours hazy golden with a white head that leaves very little lacing. Aroma and flavour are lemons, tartness, vinegar, and oak - with a dry finish.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy orange. Film of white head. Mouldy lemon. Light, spicy, bready malt. Cherry stone. A bit sweaty. Taste is dry. Light acidity. Light bitter. Palate has some oiliness. Finishes dry, and soft acidic. Very drinkable. Very tasty.

375, 750ml bottles. Several times along the years.
In short: gueuze.
So i missed this one and now i rate it. Wll, this was one of my first pure lambics. I loved it and i still do. A classic paradigma of its style, quite tart, dry, some fruity and lovely. Having it at Cantillon, with Jean Pierre Van Roy pouring it for you, shoud be enjoyed by any beerlover.

(0,75l bottled 16.3.2010) Hazy orange looks with delicate head on top. Aroma is really sour, excellent start! There is dry green apples, slight barnyard and citrus. Taste has citrus, green apples, sourness. Slight barnyard in the taste too. Some sweeter fruits pop up after warming up. Medium body with medium carbonation. Excellent lambic again from Cantillon.

At the brewery following the tour. Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma of pear, apple, sourness, and mildy funky basement. Taste was lightly sour and fruity with a nice little bite to it. Body felt pretty light and it was easy to drink with a dry finish. Well done.

Bottle 0,5l. served in tulip. Aroma: Sour apple and pear, woody, sweet undertone. Apperance: Pours lightly hazed gold with a minimal white head. Taste: Dry, tart, citrus zest, apple, pear, brett. Palate: Medium body. Soft cabonation, lingering acetic sourness. A very nice and drinkable geuze.

Bottle of 75cl. TEH Gueuze ! One of the greatest btw. Superbe taste of lambic, improved with the little sour, yeasted aroma. Nice and sweet palate. Try it with two sugars. Beware of the ascending head :)
