1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: NOV 13, 2005 Rerate: Undrinkable
Damn! Three bad beers in one day! I guess thatís what I deserve after the forbidden pleasure of Weyerbacher Quad.
This "beer" tastes like moldy lemonade. Fermented in an outhouse. Aged in rat-infested barrells.
(there was leakage around the cork, so maybe I really did get a bad bottle)

I really donít know about this beer. Sulfuric aroma, burnt chemicals, real sour flavor, a bit thin, a mouthcleaner. But still, something interesting. Has to try it again.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2008 I have no idea how these lambic brewars do it, but the wierdest and most unusual tastes in the world manage to pull themselfs together into some great beers. Im relitivly new to lambics and this is only my second gueuze, so let me away with lack of knowledge. Aroma is the unual sourness, with corked white wine and grapefruit having a wee say too AYE AND YER MAW HAVIN A WEE SAY AN ALL. Taste is sour with a great dry edge, similar flavours to the aroma, complexity to which no 5% should ever have, though at the same time, thin? (in a good way)
Rerate a classic! RERATE: Up from 4.5- 4.9. What a beer, just outstanding, soft gentle soo drinkable. Soo tasty. My god i love gueuze.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled 2003. Virtually no head, nice orange/yellow color - slightly murky. Lots of lime nose with a bit of mystery spice. Sour lime and grapefruit like other Cantillons. Nice finish - smoother with less weird edges than the Cantillon Iris. If you like the Iris, but itís a little too aggressive, give this one a shot.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of my best beers! The flavor of gueuze is so nice, sour, all kinds of fruit. Nice colored body, slightly hazy. Superb beer!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light golden colour with fine white head that faded quickly. Acidic, lemony aroma. Flavour is also full of grapefruit. A refreshingly long, dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light dull golden body with a head that hardly lasted. Lemon in the aroma. Lemon once again in the taste as well as apricot and grapefruit, sour and a little thin in a good way. Enjoyable!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Mahars. Overbearingly sour beer. Very pale in color with no head, taste of vinegar and apple skin.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 21, 2005 Bottle (375ml). At The Abbey, Ottawa. Poured slightly hazy oily gold witha very thin white head. Aroma - sour! Sour fruits (apricots) - a bit like sour champagne, tons of yeast. Taste - sour! also bitter - cleaned my teeth! - almost like aged pine resin and lemon juice. Palate very acidic , astringent - it grows on you, first taste is "whoa!", after a few sips you thin, you could get used to it ... Overall recommended - different but nice to taste a real lambic, hard to warm up to but I could definitely develop a taste for this.
