COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

Wow. Big massive sour up front. Pours a golden colour with a light foamy head that sticks around. Backing is yeasty. Healthy carbonation in the mouth.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a small quickly diminishing white head. The aroma is sour fruit and tart. Thin mouthfeel with a sour fruit and crisp finish. Easy to drink a very good gueuze from Cantillon.

Bottle, thanks to Frank at Hacienda Beverage. Pours vibrant orange, slightly hazy. Thin white head. Aroma of apple, citrus, grapes, yeast and hay. Flavor is fruity and funky. Medium body, light carbonation. Finishes sour. Very sour. Very, very sour.

Great hazy golden geuze beer. In taste it reminds me of stables. Sour in taste with a hint of fruit. Great beer as aperitif!

750 ml bottle bought @ Bierkompass.de. Pours very hazy golden with a frothy off-white head that quickly dissipates while leaving almost no trace. Smell is sour with green apples, hay, horse blanket, lemon juice and gastric acid. Taste is tiny sweet and quite sour with apples, lemon juice, orange zest, leather, vinegar, hay and horse blanket. Mouthfeel is creamy and tart. Finish is dry and tart with lemon juice and orange peal.

Appearance is golden-amber with a small white head. Aroma is acidic, funky, green apple, cumquat, apricot, grapefruit. Tart and dry on the palate, reminiscent of a dry champagne. Slight bitterness on the finish. Taste is vinegar, green apple, sour grapes. Very interesting but best in small quantities.
