The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

Holy mother of god. This is one to kill the geuzes of all geuzes. Pale yellow and aroma is all sour up front but not limbic sour. Flavor is beautiful.... Puckering and very dry.

Golden straw colour. The nose is malty and barnyardy and suggests a very tart drink. The flavours are very sour with citrus peel (the white stuff as a homeboy correctly pointed out) tart and even metallic.. Has a drying aftertaste with a surprising refreshing quality.

Labeled 100% Lambic Bio. Pours a clear amber colour with a white head. Aroma is fruity, acidic and sour. Taste is fruity and very sour with lots of acidity. A great example of the style.

Magnum bottle @ Akkurat. My favorite go-to Gueuze that always offer the same consistency. Sour barn and old forgotten cellars where you have forgotten about you hay, lemons and dried, cobweb covered fruits. Perfection in no need of further complexity.

Bottiglia da 33cl. Schiuma fine bianca ed alta un paio di dita, abbastanza persistente, colore giallo scuro opalescente, aroma particolare di vino invecchiato, tipo porto, acetico e profumi di formaggio e mela, al palato corpo medio e buona carbonazione, appare subito una birra molto particolare che si puň amare o no, ma complessa e stupefacente: acetica, vinosa, salata il tutto in un equilibrio che ho trovato piacevole e con un finale secco e pulito.Non č una birra da tutti i giorni ma per quando si vuole provare un emozione.

You either love it or you don’t. The champagne of Belgium is hard to explain, tastewise. I’ve introduced it to girls who can’t stand beer, and who doesn’t believe me when I tell them this is beer. Knowing how it is made helps, but well, it is, dry, sparkly, vinious and so wonderful sour. That’s all I dare to say.

Slightly hazy orangy golden with small bubbly white head. Nice visible carbonation. Light sweet grains, unripe peach, lemons, lots of barely ripe fruit tart/bitter mix. Light cheese and hay. Slightly acidic. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lovely complex stuff.

Color dorado pálido limpio con ligera espuma blanca. Aromas de fruta verde, madera y brett. En boca es ligera con un inicio afrutado, dulce y ácido muy equilibrado que contrasta con un final ,muy seco. Muy rica.

How hadn’t I rated this before? 0,375l bottle @ St. Urho’s. Pours cloudy golden with a low head. Aroma is sour malts with some apples. Flavor is very sour malts with some apples and vinegar. Exquisite.

Very funky! Mushrooms, aged cheese, and barnyard animals in the aroma. Lots of carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Hints of Champagne. Very sour.
