The world's classic Gueuze. A blend of one, two, and three year-old lambics creates a second fermentation in the bottle. The champagne of Belgium. In contrast, the Lou Pepe Gueuze is a blend of three 2-year-old lambics.

Newer vintages are labeled "Organic Gueuze", "100% Lambic Bio" or "Classic Gueuze".

375 ml bottle from Tanakaya. Poured into a snifter. Earthy citrus aromas with hints of pear and white wine vinegar. Sour and dry on the palate with a nice slightly fruity and sour finish. Great stuff!

Very earthy and complex, even though oak is not a prominent flavor, it is more detected in Cantillon’s Gueuze than others.

Slightly citrusy with big barnyard and funk, not super sour and very nice mouthfeel for a gueuze.

Had several vintages of it, and fresh I think this isn’t among the best, but when aged it improves drastically - 9, 6 and 3 year old are on a whole other level than fresh.

Olores a sidra o champang.

A lot of green apples, vinegar and a distinct sourness. I usually like cantillon alot, but this time i got a bit dissapointed. Its a bit to anonymous, don’t know if it was a bad bottle or what?

Some kind of lemon aroma with a little barnish hint. Clear with a adequate head. Sour with dry finisz. Very good example of Gueze.
