4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Lättdrucken men samtidigt oerhört smakrik. Delar en flarra med Isabel på öl- och kärlekssemester på DHvL. Good times.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle at DHVL - pours hazy medium hay yellow with a fine mousse. Slightly acidic nose (lemon zeste) and a bit grassy. Slight funk. Light mouthfeel with quite overwhelming acidity (more than both 3 Fonteinen en Cantillon seperate). Taste is going back & forth between sour notes and barnyard funk. The overall acidity annoys a bit frankly. Regardless of the quality of this beer and the fuzz that was created upon the launch, it is not the synergy-geuze it intends to be, on the contrary, it brings down the intrinsic quality of both lambics. I hope it will improve with ageing.

Really cool to finally try it a good geuze. Not at all mindblowing but very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, huge thanks to quackus42, 08/08/2013.Hazy orange pour, thin white head fades to a swirly haze on the surface, thin ring of large-bubbled lacing. Aroma is musty, tart lemon and grapefruit, light floral fruity notes, pungent barnyard, wood finish. Taste is sharp lemon and green grapes, sweet tarts, white vinegar funk, dry woody finish. Medium body. Character for me is more Cantillon than Drie Fonteinen right now. Decent, probably better than each lambic source indivudually but not appreciably so.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Mac is the MAN! Cheesy, funky, citric, barnyardy, phenomenal gueuze aroma. More lemon-lime-citrus than horse blanket; reminds me of Crianza.
Taste follows suit, imparting a more citrus-forward profile than the hay/barnyard style. Closer to Cantillon than 3F, and that's probably why I like it so much. This is phenomenal.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy peach colored body, medium white head, spotty lacing. Massive funky tatness, bright citric notes, a cheesy unblended lambic quality. Some oak throughout. Medium bodied nice acidity and moderate carbonation. Nice. Should age quite well.

A special blend wanted by DHVL 50% cantillon and 50% 3 fonteinen, blended by cantillon. Maybe a bit too young, I expected more from this beer. Nice sour and the aroma was not as rich as I expected.. A nice experience anyway

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours cloudy amber with a thick head which disappears quite soon. Aroma of dusty attic, slightly fruity (apricot?), barnyard, musty. Taste is okay, mostly Cantillon and not too complex. Starts off with a refreshing green apple taste but then turns into lemon notes and quite some acidity, not too pleasant. Strange they blended 2 lambics which were brewed within 1 month from each other, technically I don’t think this is a gueuze.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750mL bottle at DHVL, thankfully for the more reasonable price of 25€, pours a hazy bright orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out perhaps more of the traditional 3 Fonteinen gueuze, with barnyard funk -- really inviting as always. Flavour brings out more of a mix of the two, with the signature 3F funk, followed by some medium tartness and acidity from the Cantillon component. Finishes on a low-to-medium funk note (for a gueuze), ending with medium acidity. Nothing really overly special about this, but it’s certainly well made and very enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to generous friends! It pours cloudy amber with a medium bubbly white head. The nose is sharply tart, earth, sour apple, mild malt vinegar, vomit, strong ambergris aspect and some light stone fruit. The taste is initially big on the tartness, earth, wood, acidic, light vomit, apricot, dank, mouldy wood and some lemon with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. 3F lambic dominates methinks. Interesting for sure, but doesn’t really do it for me - fairly acidic and musty.
