Vintage 1998 shared by BrianK. Pours a hazy orange amber with an off white head. Floral, funky effervescent citrus and woodiness with a light acidity and some funk’d honey and lemon. Awesome. 4.4 nuplastikk (1159), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 28, 2009 Updated: Apr 10, 2009750ml 2005 vintage drank in late March of 2009. Wowsers. The aroma on this one is perfect, stanky brett-wheat funk dreaminess. Deep orange color, not all the way opaque though. Foamy head. Classic lemony wheat crushes your taste buds. Wow, no wheat in this one? Achieves supreme sour and funkiness nonetheless. This beer is phenomenal, no trace of old age, holds up perfectly. Hyper bitter, full on Lambic. nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Mar 26, 2009 Sampled this on tap at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore during Max’s Belgian fest. Pours a amber gold with very little head. Funky, sweet, slightly tart nose with some light flowers. Flavor is the same, slightly musty, light sweetness, more funky and flowers. Slightly chalky. Very nice. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Mar 13, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Musty, sour but incredibly sweet nose, too. Interesting balance in the nose. Flavor is pretty nice, but a little too subtle. Sweet and sour flavor, but my saliva glands aren’t gushing and that’s a problem. My first unblended lambic, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Pretty high considering Cantillon brewed it, but it was pretty aight for me. Bragesnak (2223), Aarhus, Denmark Mar 9, 2009 From Cantillon, Brussels, Belgium.
