4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mds (2119) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 5, 2006
Bottle. Orange-copper with a small white bubbly head. Great punchy brett aroma, barnyard, socks, just lovely. Grapefruit and citrus flavours, very refreshing and tart. The finish is long, tart, and quite funky. There is even a touch of bitterness too. Excellent drinkability in a relatively soft body.
Sampled at the Københavnske Øldage 2006 on May 20, 2006.

I had this bottle twice and forgot a rating both times.. i’m pissed and not buying another $14 bottle for it. But it smells extremly sour w/ a decent little berry flavor from memory and was a damn good lambic w/ a nice pucker affect
Yes this is an unfair rating from memory out of anger.. I’ll fix it when someone else buys a bottle.
4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 fata2683 (2103) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - OCT 15, 2010
bottle thanks to Savvy, you rock! Pours hazy orange with no head. Aroma is out of this world, sour apple, lemon, musky wood, a nice herbal grass note as well. Flavor is mellow apple skin, bitter citrus rind, funky barnyard yeast, and a lingering acidity. Nice stuff.

Medium sized, fizzy head, fair retention and very little lace. Hazy blond. Fruity, sour nose with some zesty notes. Med/light body a little watery. Very sour. Fruity notes, green apples, musty with some leathery notes. Dry, seriousl sour finish, WOW!
4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 durhambeer (2096) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - OCT 21, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2008 Bottle, not sure what vintage, but I’d guess at least 3-4 years in the bottle. Golden orange pour; hazy and getting to cloudy as we kept pouring from the bottle. Surprisingly large bubbly white head. This beer was amazing, and every sniff yielded new aromas. Through the course of splitting a bottle, we started with soapy and bitter lemon notes, hitting next on old wood and dirty strawberries, a bitter hop presence. Next notes of gun leather and then cherries, with pits and skins included. Also big floral (lilies) and vinous qualities. There were times when I closed my eyes and could have thought I was drinking certain floral Italian red wines (Nero D’Avola, maybe? Barbera d’Asti or Alba?). In short, an amazing beer. Beautiful beautiful beer!
Notes from a tasting a few months back.
2005 vintage tasted along 2007
This is very good aged!
Pours a hazy gold
Funky aroma with a light fruitiness, good hoppy to sour ratio on the flavor that is surprisingly plesant both flavors are very under control and do not overwhelm eachother, the funiness certinally takes over the hoppiness in the older vintage. There is a bit of citrus here and the flavor reminds me of a reisling.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 phishpond417 (2089) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 14, 2008
This was worth all $6: Pours a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Lots of carbonation, spritzy in the mouthfeel. Tart, lemon, citrusy flavors. Aroma is of fermented apples, hops and wet hay. Taste is dry, with sour fruits, grass, short bursts of hops and raisins. It was definately unique.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jaghana (2089) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - JUN 11, 2010
Bottle 75cl. A fuzzy orange ale with medium head ans no lacing. Smell is typically acid and moister like. As other lambic from Cantillon this product is very sour, very dry, very bitter, without intensive fruit flavor and with moisture aroma. So for me they products are very less interesting.
