Miksu (1286), Jyväskylä, Finland May 4, 2008 0.75 l bottle. Hazy yellow brown color with almost no head. Sweetish, perfumed and strongly acidic aroma with strawberry, raspberry and sulphur. Dry, acidic and grassy flavor with strawberry, grapefruit, lemon, menthol, sulphur and spicy bitterness. Not my favorite Cantillon, but very exotic. Hop flavor is very grassy which I don’t like.
EricE (252), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Sep 27, 2008 Very cloudy and hazy pour with white head and nice lacing on the glass. Sweet and sour aroma. Lots of earth and funk with some grape and fruit. There are some bitter herb and spice notes. Mild sourness with a bitter finish. Floral earthy, herb flavor, almost like mint. Very unique. Would have liked a bit more sourness, but overall very good. fiver29 (325), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Sep 17, 2008 On tap pours amber with a off white head. As soon as the bartender set it down I could smell it. That’s how fragrant it was . It has a nice floral bouquet along with sour notes of funk. What follows was a medium body with a fair amount of carbonation. Taste is very tart, lemon like, sweet aftertaste, and has more tartness after the sweetness mellows. Overall I was glad to try this on tap and thought it was outstanding. phishpond417 (1456), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Sep 14, 2008 This was worth all $6: Pours a cloudy orange with a huge white head. Lots of carbonation, spritzy in the mouthfeel. Tart, lemon, citrusy flavors. Aroma is of fermented apples, hops and wet hay. Taste is dry, with sour fruits, grass, short bursts of hops and raisins. It was definately unique. PaulHegedus (115), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Aug 31, 2008 Updated: Sep 24, 2008Bottle from City Beer San Francisco, July 2008. My first Cantillon beer, and a unique one it seems! Poured cloudy golden orange in champagne-like hotel room glasses, with a huge, fragrant head holding floral aromas, with plenty of citrus, grapefruit, grassiness. Light to medium mouthfeel. I taste sour grapefruit, grass, very dry, with a long sour finish. grandridge (159), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA Aug 26, 2008 Pours cloudy amber-yellow with a light white colored head. This beer looks refreshing. Aroma is floral with hops and sour. Slight woody notes in the aroma. Mouthfeel is and carbonation is light. Flavor is lemon soap, earthy notes, and slight hop presence in the finish. Finish is dry and fairly clean with only a slight bitterness. Good
