4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750 ml corked and capped green bottle; bottled on May 5, 2012; almost 9 months old. After almost three and a half years on this site, an unblended lambic finally comes my way. This is the last style on this website that I have yet to rate, all other styles long since found and rated. Iím not a trader, so this shit is hard to come by, especially here in North Idaho. I have Russell Mann at Enoteca to thank for this. I placed my order for this about two years or so ago and it took him awhile to get it, but he followed through. Pours murky orange with a large cream-colored head with good retention. Aroma is wonderful in its funkiness, classic lambic barnyard with lemon, floral, earth, SweeTarts--nice and pungent, although my favorite American sours are a bit more up my alley. Taste is nice, sour and acidic, but not quite as mouth-puckering as La Folie or Avery Odio Equum; finishes dry and a little bitter. To my surprise, itís not flat. Iíve always heard unblended lambics were lacking in carbonation, but this isnít; itís actually moderate. Really good, but I prefer Cantillonís Gueuze. Definitely a worthwhile beer seeking out, even if it takes awhile to find its way into your hands.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a hazy copper with a small-ish white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of spicy hops, wet hay and light funk. The hops seem a lot fresher than other bottles Iíve had of this before. Taste is tart and refreshing, hoppy. Citrusy flavors ride over a juicy backbone. Finish is spicy and lightly bitter. Body is medium, mouthfeel lean. Carbonation is moderate. Overall a really, really nice lambic base and the hoppy aromas and flavors simply push it into the "awesome" territory. This is one to come back to again, and again, and again...

1998, Thank you Eric for sharing. Poured into a wine glass, murky orange with a thing layer of head. Floral and earthy with a citrus tartness that lingered. Really aged well and my preference over fresh

Bottiglia 75cl, ordinata su birraland e bevuta a casa.
Ambrata con schiuma fine e persistente.
Meno acida di una lambic comune, molto amara e luppolata sul finale, equilibrio fantastico.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice dirty musty moldy tart and lemony lambic here. I loved that it had carbonation which i wasnt expecting. Moldy cheese, lemon, light balsamic, and oak with maybe some light herbal hoppiness.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This one is different from the 'regular' lambic based beers. The hops make the finish less aciding, making it not so tart. Quite good when you're in the mood.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Whoa, Iím not worthy. Amazingly complex, the closest beer Iíve had to this was from Hill Farmstead. At one time sour, then dry, then sweet, then bitter, crazy. Effervescent in the pour, saison like. Beautiful enticing color. The finish is palate cleansing, tickles the throat with the tight carbonation. Donít know if it is something I would necessarily want on a daily basis, but for a treat once in awhile this is lovely.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Max?s Belgian Beer Festival. Pours almost clear copper with no head. Tastes very tart and slightly sour, like strong grapefruit, yeast, and cheese. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like fermentation, wheat, and creamy cheese, with a light hint of floral citrus.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle 0.75l. Pours a hazy deep orange with medium white head. Aroma has vinegar, apples, funky. Taste is heavily sour, almost no sweetness, bitter notes, vinegary, green apples, hops. Aftertaste is tart with some good bitterness which makes the beer very well balanced. Excellent.
