Has a yeasty sort of cherry sourness. Pours bright red with a large white head. Big sour profile on the tongue with cherries well expressed. Lingers nicely long after it’s down.

(375ml courtesy of rayl101!). Pours cloudy red-brown. With off-white head. Aroma is funk, basement and tart cherries. Taste is sour, with some venegar. Medium bodied with oily texture. Finish is quite dry.

Shared bottle at BrewDog. Pours a striking pink red, with a small pinky white head. Aroma is incredible - funky sour cherry, vinegar, subtle candy floss. Flavour is predictably sour, mouth-wateringly acidic, really refreshing. Finish is Sharp. Really fascinating beer.

Shared bottle courtesy of tarjei. Pink disappating creamy head on clear red body. Brett, oak and cherries in the aroma. Acidic and light bitter flavors with notes of pickled cherries and malts. Medium bodied and dry with a rich carbonation.

Bouteille 75 cl du Grain d’Orge à Neuchâtel (CH). Bière rouge brillante à joli col de mousse rouge. Nez vineux de cerise, plein pot, avec le soutien d’amande, de pomme, de boisé et acidité. La bouche est d’ailleurs acide, surette, vin blanc, cerises acidulées, le corps comme la texture sont légers. Manque un peu de rondeur. Amertume d’amande, de noyau, note de bois mouillé dans une finale fruitée et astringente.

375ml bottle, bottled 12 January 2010. Pours a bright red color with a pink-white head. Aroma is funky, with a nice sour cherry scent. Medium body on the palate with lively carbonation. Flavor is sour, funky, oak, cherry, with a dry, sour finish. Very nice.

Bottle of 2005 vintage. Pours a reddish color with a small pinkish head. Aroma is of tart cherries, vinous white wine notes, vinegar, funk, musty basement aromas along with an intensely tart aroma. Flavor is super sour with the cherries and notes of apple vinegar, funk, the musty basement notes, white vine notes and a some more tart fruitiness. The body is light with a very dry mouthfeel. Overall a great Kriek Lambic!
