12 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Bottled 03.30.10. Aroma is tart, acetic, funky with plenty of barnyard present. There are some definite faint cherry notes present as well. Light cheesiness. Nice enough. Mildly hazy reddish body with a fizzy, smallish , pink head present. Starts tart, acetic, and acidic. This is followed by some sourish cherry flavoring, which persists late. Finishes a little funky and cheesy. Nice tartness, but not too over the top.

The best Kriek I have had. Its aciduous aroma has citrus qualities in combination with a distinct cherry taste. The wild yeast is present both as visible particles and for its contribution to the very aciduous character of the beer. The cherry taste is a lot more present when the bottle is fresh.

Bouteille de 750 ml (2008). Arômes très invitants de levures sauvages et de fruits, légère touche boisée et de liège. Robe rosée et légèrement trouble, effervescence assez active et légère mousse. Intensément sèche, lactique et citrique, il s’agit d’une bière à siroter tranquillement. De belles notes boisées se développent et accompagnent les brettanomyces. Les cerises ne sont pas particulièrement à l’avant-plan, mais ajoutent certainement une complexité et contribuent à la nature citrique de la bière. Très intéressant.

Bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a hazy red-pink liquid with a small pink foam. Great balance between sweetness and sourness in this one. I loved it and intend to buy more bottles. Nice to have a high quality lambik at Systembolaget.

Bottle @ the brewery. Pours perfect dark ruby red, subtle fine cherry aroma on a sour basis. Minimalistic cherry impressions. flavor predominantly sour.

Pours blood red, with a very shortlasting pink head.
Earthy aroma with cherrys.
Tart cherry taste, nice balance.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2011 A lovely hazy deep red colour. Smells of cherries, yeast and apples. I agree about balsam vinegar also. Tastes of strong blood grapefruit, red berries and cherries. A real tongue twister. Lovely.

Hazy orange red with good head action.
Aroma: vinegary with dry citrus peel, cherry pip plus a hint of woody sweet balsamico.
Taste: rich acidic cherry/apple/grapefruit with a musty body.
Rich and full bodied with soft carbonation.

Poured into Champagneglass to replace fluteglass. Pinkish red, hazy with no head. Aroma is sour citrus, barnyard. Taste is heavily sour with flavors of lemon, cherries and hay. Light body, thin feel, fizzy, long sour finish that sticks to the tongue. Not my type of beer but I appreciate the craftmanship.
