4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20 Kevin (1951) - Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2009
odd to see i haven’t put up notes for this one. must have had damn near 2 cases of the big bottles since i lived round here. a nice beer to sip on while watching a ballgame and listening to george jones. always looks like a cherry limeade with a big white head. the kind of nose that unless someone has developed the love for lambics would be aghast at. i’m just smiling. the cherry is apparent from the first sniff and sip to the last. smells incredibly sweaty and leathery, taste is lightly jaw wrenching with a nice sweet and tart side. a light popsicle stick and sulphur note pervade this, and i like that too. one of those beers that no matter what is going on in my life by the time i’m halfway through this i’m in a better mood.

Bottle bought at Systembolaget.
The color was read and looked nice, very small head.
First sip was a bit of a shock, "Mein Gott, what is this? Very sour, but still good and very drinkable.
A very nice beer!

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Neeskens (276) - SWEDEN - SEP 28, 2009
Truly a special beer, and perhaps not because of the cherry flavour (since the cherry is surprisingly balanced), but rather due to tones of sour vinegar and the dry character.
Interesting? Definitely. Tasty? Yes, even if not to the same extent as it is interesting. But it will actually be the welcoming drink at my next party.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2010 Ive had this from various 330ml corked bottles before. . The tart sourness is extremly harcore and intense . A fruit beer that is not a chick beer in any aspect .

Bottle 0,75 l. Juicy red, not quite natural looking, quicky head. Aroma is quite funky, sour, hayish, barnyard, earthy, yeasty, home made wine and some faint cherries maybe. Flavor is soury, yet sweet with a huge earthy touch to it. Cherries are really subtle and there’s no Dr. Pepper. Quite appealing, not even closely as sour as I thought it could be. Easy to drink, sharing qualities with bubbly rose wines and home made wines.
