UPDATED: JUN 10, 2011 2006 Bottle. Pours a bright red an attractive thin pink head forming. Smells of vinegar and sour cherries. Has a very vinuous aroma to it. This beer is lightly sweet at first, but then the sour cherries become nicely noticeable. Finish is overwhelmingly sour and bitter while the tart cherries are prevalant throughout.

Bottle. Pours a nice cloudy cranberry color with a very small off-white head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, sour cherries, and boiled eggs. Flavor begins nicely with a tart cherry flavor but ends not so well with a pickled egg aftertaste. I wanted to like this one more than I did.

Cap and cork, 07 bottle. Soft, cloudy pinkish-red color with a thin white head. Cherries, heavy tart acidity, light woodiness. Sour and funky, tart, with a distinct meatiness despite all that. Champagne vinegar like finish. Intense and well flavored. Very good.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2011 Special thanks to cquiroga for this one. Opens nicely, no prob with the cork. Wool horse blanket and mild sweet farmy aroma. Darker hazey brown purplish but not maroon. First look is mouth watering. First taste is simply lovely. Delicious almost vinegar and sizzly cutting carbonation. Burns tongue! Brutal sour special prodding bite of a finish. Nicely done. No hint of alcohol! Why do they make any other beers but sour and lambic? This beer rocks!

Wonderful aroma of sweet cherries and sour vinegar. Pours crannberry-juice red with no head. Taste is cherries, sour green apples, and vinegar. Finish is dry, tart, and very acidic with a slight vegetal note. My stomach burns with every sip. This is not something that I could drink alot of, and I’ve got to drink it slowly. It’s still enjoyable though.

Bottle. Sampled at the brewery. Pours a thin white head and a ruby red color. Aroma is complex, and alcohol, sour, all with cherry backbone. Taste is not of this beer-world. A very complex and flat cherry wine, alcohol and sour notes. Very interesting, and strangely enjoyable

12oz capped and corked bottle. Pours murky reddish purple with a half finger pink head that faded into a topper in the center. The nose is cherry skin, red wine vinegar and light funk. The taste is unripe cherries, aspirin, vinegar and a touch of funk as it warms. Medium prickly mouthfeel. Good Kriek.
