UPDATED: JAN 10, 2010 2004 Bottle. Pours a cranberry body with a thin pink lacing. Strong vinegar and cherry notes, woody with plenty of lactic acid very sharp. Very tart with a lot of acidity and a very dry finish. Pretty good. 3.8 Draft at BT. Pours a pulpy fruit punch like puree with a thin pink lacing. Fresh and tart cherries, some nutty chewy fruit tones, pit and skins, with a light vinegar and sour notes. Awesome! 4.2

Bottle at Novare Res. Pours a gentle red amber with a white head that has hints of pink. The aroma is wild yeast, rotten cherries, a little barn-like. Flavor is super sour with a tangy tart cherry. This beer is super dry and a pleasure to drink super smooth. Best kriek i’ve had yet.

Cloudy rose with light pink head / Skunky, funky nose of cherries / Light body, tart, with good balance and excellent finish / Flavors of sour cherries, oak, and a big dose of barnyard funk / Excellent sour ale.

75cl bottle shared by illidurit. Ruby with a light pink head. Vivid cherry aroma, quite tart, with the requisite lambic funk, but in a rounded way. Lots of tart cherry flavor, very dry, with low funky accents. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Just pure sour cherry goodness. I could drink this stuff all day.

750ml corked bottle. Hazy purpleish pink body with a small white head. Aroma is particularly vinegary, almost balsamic-like, cherry come in the form of a woody, almondy note, more like sour cherry than anything else. Notes of sweat and barnyard dwell in the background. Hugely acidic, reminds me of the Rosé De Gambrinus, lively carbonation fills the mouth, and palate lingers for an eternity. Cherry flavour makes its presense known on the body, dancing around vinegar, grapefruit pith, and oak character. There’s alot going on, but i’m once again reminded of the Gambrinus with the amount of brutal acidity getting in the way. Finish is sour, bit of lingering cherry pip and after thought of horsy funk. Gee this is full on. Cherry flavour is almost lost in the overall sharpness of this beer, but it certainly makes for interesting drinking!
