Bottle @ Ørsted Ølbar on October 14. Pours hazy deep red with a pink head. Smell is sour and complex with sour cherries, hay and leather. Taste is sour, rough and complex with sour cherries, regular cherries and funk. A very good kriek that’s amazinly refreshing. Could drink this all day!

Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Ruddy red-brown body, thin to medium pink head. Dry, cobwebby and sour nose, soapy, dusty, funky and tart. Sour, dusty, cobwebby body, grassy with a tart fruity finish. Sulfuric. Classic and clinical.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 Psytron (503) - Turku, FINLAND - OCT 7, 2011
Smell of malt and berries. Dark red colour with small pink head. Sour, somewhat malty, strong cherry flavour. Soft carbonation, finish gets more sweet. Less sour when warmer.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 tquest (50) - Ghent, BELGIUM - OCT 5, 2011
Pours out with a nice deep red color and a red head. I tried this one again after I head that is was brewed this time with ’Noorderkrieken’, an experiment from Jean. So this time it was more fruity, which I do like in a fruit beer, and less lambic taste. More fruite, but not more sweet, very nice cherry taste and a bit sour, it was very well balanced.

Bottle - 375ml. Hazy red body with a fair pink foamy head. Sharp hoppy/cherry aroma with spicy hints. Taste is sharp but sourness hides the cherry flavors. Ends with a long sour finish. Good Kriek.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 cryptobard (281) - DENMARK - SEP 18, 2011
Poured red with a white/pink head. Tart throughout but it finished sour (of course). Not as interesting a mouthfeel as I’m used to from Cantillon. Smelled great, though - cherry, oak, and vinegar.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hivemind (352) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 17, 2011
On tap at Spuyten Duyvil w Andy and Steph. Seriously red pour - color of raspberry with a light red head. Aroma is complex: dry, musky, fungus and a hint of pine and maybe even tobacco, though not in a good smoky way - more of a cigarette type of presence. Insanely acidic palate and sour light berries. Juicy and attention-grabbing. One of the more acidic sours I’ve tasted.
