4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 SlackerMads (565) - DENMARK - JUN 16, 2013
Hazy red with a small off white diminishing head. Lots of ripe cherry and cherry stone with some light barnyard notes beneath. Taste is light/medium sweet and medium sour, I guess the cherries makes it a bit more mellow than the usual Cantillon sour attack. Light/medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation.

Bottle. Poursslightly hazy ruby with quickly vanishing off-pinkish head. Vinous aroma enhanced but subtle cherry notes. Dry and vinous flavour with gentle touches of cherries. Sour and slughtly dusty aftertaste. Nice but may need re-rating as the bottle is 1 year past the BBD.

pours a lovely ruby red with a pink head. Nose of tart cherry. Taste is slightly tart, cherry, and a little bit of funky wet wood on the finish. A strong supporting body. A great way to slide off into the evening after an uneventful cross state drive.

Glad to share a 2011 vintage from the Brick Store cellar with Westmeister. It was his first experience with the wonderful brews of the Van Roy-Cantillon family. It was only my second. Smells of raspberry, blackberry, and strawberry. Sour, sour, sour. Red, red, red. Bubbly like a beautiful champagne. Cantillon, please make your illustrious return to the shelves of Georgia beer stores. Bottle - Brick Store - Decatur, GA

Glass @ Cantillon. Red amber with a pinkish head. Aroma of tart pie cherries and lots of barnyard funk and musty oak. Flavor is super sour and tart with minimal cherry flavor and light tanic oak. Light body and super dry. Good beer but you’ve got to be in the mood for a super dry, sour beer.
