Una vera kriek, non ruffiana, senza aggiunta di zuccheri infermentiscibili.....note ciliegiose e acetiche........bel finale, lungo e amaricante

Bottle. A- Cherries. A- Red color, dark liquid, dark pink head. T- Cherries, slightly tart, subtle almonds, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- How a kriek should be done. Very textbook, not all that sour or tart. Cherries are there but not a cloying fake fruit taste, and really not a lot of in your face flavors. Very balanced and tasty.

Bottle @ home. Aroma of some brett, cherry and some marzipan. Red colour with pink head, not lasting. Taste is moderate sour and light bitter. Light+ body, dry feel, cherry finish.

Draft at Brew Dog-Birmingham, 6/1/16.  Pretty excited to see this on draft here, and at a great price point too.  Much cheaper than we get it (if we can find it at all).  Surprised to see I haven’t rated this one before.  Reddish pour, ring of pink head.  Light, drippy lace.  Beautiful tart cherry and funk aroma.  Flavor has a nice balance of funk, tart, and a little sweet.  What can I say about this that would add to the conversation?  Not much.

Beautiful deep red color with a small pink head. Cherry, wood, almond, and funk. Excellent blend of sweet and tart flavors. Moderate carb, light bodied, and a lingering fruity finish.

Bottles at home/everywhere. Aroma is sour cherries, farmhouse and light vinegar. No artificial taste whatsoever, clean, no one makes a better Kriek. Not entirely sure if the Lou Pepe Kriek is better (it’s really good but the standard Kriek holds its ground). If I could have one sour with me on a deserted island this is it.

2015 Edition. 375 ml bottle.
ABV: 5.0% Bottled: June 18 2015.
Got this bottle from Belgian Happines.

This is perfection! The beer pours hazy ruby red like a Strawberry Margarita with a two finger high, pink head that pretty fast dismisses to nothing.

Nose: Tart but sweet, cherries, strawberry, red fruit, citrus, lime, barnyard, hay and wood.
Taste: So refreshing! Fresh cherries, green apples, tart, funk, oak and lemon.
Mouth: Light body and medium carbonation. Sour, sweet and dry. Delicious!

Esto es un regalo para los sentidos, preciosa en copa de champán, olor a tarta de cereza, color rojo oscuro y sabor impactantemente ácido.

Bottle. 2014 vintage thanks to AdamChan, beautiful violet, purple color. Aroma is a deep cherry, blackberry, and .

Flavor is just awesome. Tart finish but not overly so. Totally natural in every way, not artificial or chemical sourness, or vinaigrette or vinegar notes anyplace in the taste. Most American can’t even come close to making a Kriek this nice. Totally awesome!
