The aroma is sharp and slightly sweet - from the wild fermentation. The color is a lovely deep red and it has a small but disappearing head. The flavor is very nice, round and at the same time sharp and very dry with some vinegar notes in the end. A very nice kriek.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2006 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Beautiful, pale pinkish colour with a small, pinkish head. Pronounced cherry flavours, but they’re completely drowned by the extreme, vinegary sourness. Dry and quenching - but an extreme Kriek indeed. 100897

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2004 Brownish red. Very acidic nose. Some hints of cherry, some oak character, but mainly just tart and acidic. I really want to love this very authentic kriek, but it’s dryness is a step too far for me.

Rating for Cantillon De Dolle Proevers Kersengueuze 1991 (04-11-19):
Hazy brownish red. Acidic sweet cherry aroma. Typical Cantillon acidity with a twist of lemon. Sparkling, light mouthfeel. Vague toffeeish hint of oxidation. Good, but not stellar. (8/4/8/4/14)

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2008 Bottle. Acidic, vinegary aroma with some cherry. Slightly cloudy, nice, deep red colour, small pink head. Sharp vinegary acidity. Tiny hint of cherries in the middle. Semi-low carbonation. 7 4 7 3 15

Cask at GBBF08. Good acidic aroma. Cloudy deep red colour. No head. The flavour is quite acidic, probably mellowed down a bit by the fruit. 8 3 8 3 17
