Taste is quite acidic in such a form one cannot taste any balance. Smell is very nice balanced though.

0.375l bottle. Vintage 2014. Hazy bright red body, huge pink head that disappears quickly. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, sour cherry, lemon zest with some earthy notes. Taste of lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, cherries and huge amount of funkiness with a slight amount of hop bitterness. Quite complex beer. I would even say it’s weird but in a good way.

2014 bottle Very astringent strong aroma. Old yeast and damp. Reminded of stinky cheese in that it smells like hell, but tastes quite nice. Immediate bite and a vinegar-like bitterness. Not a lot of cherries, though they are present a bit under the classic gueze flavor. Lemon rind, lambic tart, sour cherry. Not a fruity beer. Funky and well worth a try, but certainly not for the everyday. Thanks for sharing @kapusil!

Poured into a taster showing very cloudy pink with translucent rims. The nose shows a lot of brett with a lot of sour cherry notes in between. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of light oak, sour cherries, and the distinctive bretty tart notes. The finish shows the same tart notes and throughout the linger.

2015 bottle. Aroma old socks, basementy... unfortunately. I do not get much else. Charming red colour. Taste is very very sour, coating and puckering whole mouth. Some basementy flavour, socks, rather light cherry. I suspect this gets much better after some ageing.

Bottle. Red colour. Aroma sulfur in the begining, kráter sour, chery. Taste sour, chery, bitter in the end. Good one.

(bottle) hazy red colour with a small pink head; aroma of sourness, fruit, brief whiff of fresh peppers; smooth palate; sour but balanced flavour with a clean, long light sour finish

A split bottle 375 I think. Cherries in aroma, not too powerful as the funky yeast came through as well, which made it great. Some oakiness more cherries and fairly dry finish.

De loin une des meilleurs kriek que j’ai bue, une très belle robe et une belle mousse, un nez tout en élégance, très pur et une bouche droite et nette dans le style de la maison

0.375 l corked and capped bottle from P&M Getränke, bottled on 14/5/2014. Clear, deep red with a huge, frothy, quickly diminishing, pinkish white head. Slightly funky, sourish-fruity and vinous aroma of sour cherries, redcurrant, raspberries, oak and leather. Slightly funky, sourish-fruity taste of sour cherries, redcurrant, raspberries, oak and leather, followed by a long, heavily sour and slightly vinous finish. Thin to medium body, effervescent and astringent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Very sour and oaky kriek, almost nothing sweetish in it. Not as complex and sophisticated as expected but quite intense and, of course, very refreshing.

2010 cork. Thanks Moj! Medium sour and sweet cherries. A touch of the signature Cantillon funk, that Im not huge on, but covered up nicely by the sourness. Think I almost enjoyed this more than having fresh LPK. I guess aging these pays off nicely.
