375cl bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale reddish color with a small off-white head. Fruity, cherry aroma with a nice fruity, sour, tart cherry finish. I enjoyed this.

375ml bottle (thx JameyW!). Pours a rose cherry color with a rose head. Aroma is tart with cherry kompot notes. Very sophisticated. Taste is pretty similar with a woody, earthy and gueuze notes. Tart, cherry notes aftertaste. Very good.

A 750ml corked and caged bottle bottled on 18th June 2015 (just over a year old) and poured into a Cantillon ballon glass. It poured a slightly hazy dark ruby red colour with a two finger dark pinkish-white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left only sparse lacing. Aromas are sweet and tart cherry with touches of strawberry. Lots of oak woodiness and only a hint of barnyard funk. Tastes sour, tart, cherry, lemon, oak and just a touch of funk. Dry, light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, just wonderful, so refreshing and well balanced. I could drink this all day.

Cantillon’s Kriek Lambic is genuine down to its funky soul. Deep red pour and pink suds. This Kriek smells like cherry and earth. Its flavors are fruity and funky. Just a hint of juicy citrus, too. Moderately lively and sour feel. This is an extremely tasty cherry-infused Belgian beer. It’s a Fruit Lambic everyone needs to try.

Bottle. A- Cherries. A- Red color, dark liquid, dark pink head. T- Cherries, slightly tart, subtle almonds, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- How a kriek should be done. Very textbook, not all that sour or tart. Cherries are there but not a cloying fake fruit taste, and really not a lot of in your face flavors. Very balanced and tasty.

Draft at Brew Dog-Birmingham, 6/1/16.  Pretty excited to see this on draft here, and at a great price point too.  Much cheaper than we get it (if we can find it at all).  Surprised to see I haven’t rated this one before.  Reddish pour, ring of pink head.  Light, drippy lace.  Beautiful tart cherry and funk aroma.  Flavor has a nice balance of funk, tart, and a little sweet.  What can I say about this that would add to the conversation?  Not much.

Beautiful deep red color with a small pink head. Cherry, wood, almond, and funk. Excellent blend of sweet and tart flavors. Moderate carb, light bodied, and a lingering fruity finish.
