Musty, wet blanket, funky, woodsy, slight sour cherry, and raw beef? in the nose... complex and interesting. Very assertively sour up front (for me) pick out some spicy astringency, apple peals, and sour cherries in the flavor. Dry mouthfeel with lingering sourness, low carbonation, and acidity. Interesting beer, but lambics are still new to me so I need some warming up to them.

Smell was sour cherry. Taste was intense cherry with a nice lactic sourness to it. I was surprised at how good it was.

Hazy reddish pink with a massive pink head. Aroma is cherries, sour cherries, funk, other red fruits. Medium bodied, thick mouthfeel, nicely sweet and tart on the palate. Taste is tart cherry pie, lots of cherries, red currants.

37.5cl bottle. Hazy deep red colour with a fluffy pinkish head. Tart, yeast, oak, and fruit in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste starts very tart but then turns into a complexity complicated to describe with fruitiness, vinegar and sour notes. Dry finish. Overall, a surprising beer that opens a new world of flavours.

Bottle. Pours dark hazy red with a slightly pink big frothy head. Aromas of some tart cherries, slightly soapy (in a good way though), some wood and stale, some sweet fruity notes in the back. Subtle vinegar. Taste is pretty tart cherries up front, fruity soapy notes once again, some stale, vinegar and sweet ripe cherries in the back.

375 ml bottle @ Nimes
Hazy rose red beer with pink head dissolving quickly with loud fizz. Aroma has vinegarish sourness, saddle leather, hay and cherries. Flavor is sour with some sugary sweetness and some cherry. Palate is fizzily carbonated and almost medium thick. Finish is very sour with vinegar and vinous berryness. Too juicy for my taste, I like my beers maltier. Bonus point for being organic.

Pink-plum pour, foamy pink head. Aroma is tart raspberry, with barnyard and sweet berry notes. Very tart and acidic, barnyardy. Intense, short-lived raspberry flavor. Not terribly exciting but well made.

375ml bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a deep pinkish red with thin head. Taste is marvellously indulgent and refreshing, fizzy with cherry laces, sour cherries and a subtle sweet sourness. Nice.

Bottle at Brasserie Cambrinus while in Bruges. Side by side with Rose de Cambrinus. Pours deep red color with a pink half finger head. Aroma of tart cherries, wheat malts, a bit of oak. Flavor follows with big cherry, though not overly sweet, with perfect tartness, and some vanilla coming through as well. Medium dry on the palate, light plus bodied, plenty of carbonation. My first time having this one and I think I light like it better then the LP Kriek. Awesome stuff!

Cloudy, nice ruby color with pinkish short head, great cherry and lambic aroma, complex, a good combination of sweet and sour (although a bit too sour for my taste)
