Bottle 375ml. Aged 18 months piror to tasting. Poured dark muddy blood with a small, pink, frothy head which was mostly lasting. Aroma had almost perfume like characteristics with notes of roses, violets, crushed raspberries, sour cherries, wild yeast and salt water. Flavor was extremely tart with a massive acidic bite; gooseberry skins, sour cherries, red wine vinegar and light notes of oysters & salty brine. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry/spritzig mouthfeel, ever-so slightly syrupy texture and a superb length finish. Amazingly delicate yet infinitely complex.

Bottle shared at Beavertown - big thanks to Daniel! Pours a rather lovely mostly clear red with a fluffy pink head. The nose holds lots of ripe cherries with plenty of berry skin, subtle earth. Light-medium sweet flavor with mellow acidity, tart cherries, some bitter grass and cherry pit, understated funk. Light bodied with average carbonation and massaging texture. Nicely balanced in the finish, with further juicy, ripening cherries, balancing bitterness, slight grass, a bit of basement funk, slight acidic bite. Excellent beer overall.

Bottle shared at Beavertown. Hazy red with a foamy pink head. Aroma is sour cherry, raspberry, berries. Body is medium, foamy, low carbonation. Taste is sweet syrupy cherry, sour lemon, tart and a little acidic. Quite nice, but perhaps a little sweet for me.

Bottle from de bierkoning. Pours red with a small pink head. Aroma is acidic and sour, with a clear tone of fruits and berries. Taste is equally sour and very easy to drink. Somewhat sweet but considerly sour and fresh. Palate is tasteful though thin. Overall an enjoyable beer. Recommended.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2015/04/24 - At Bier Central in Antwerp. Pours a translucent, dark pink (cream soda) colour with a fizzy, light pink head that quickly reduces. Aroma is wood notes, vinegar and tart cherries. Taste is tart cherries, with some wood and vinegar mixed in. Mouthfeel is medium, with smooth carbonation and a tart, refreshing. Not overly tart or overly sweet. Crisp, light and refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from 2011. A little muddy diffuse red color with a beautiful rose foam head that decayed quickly and completely vanished. The smell promises a fruity (but not sweet) and foremost sour taste. In short: it delivers. The taste is awesomely sour and well carbonated, that even without the cherry, this would be an extremely well brewed beer. The taste has cherry and a certain funk, you can get from older lambic. It stays a dry yet sour feeling in the mouth and probably a delayed response from the stomach.
