4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 375ml. Aged 18 months piror to tasting. Poured dark muddy blood with a small, pink, frothy head which was mostly lasting. Aroma had almost perfume like characteristics with notes of roses, violets, crushed raspberries, sour cherries, wild yeast and salt water. Flavor was extremely tart with a massive acidic bite; gooseberry skins, sour cherries, red wine vinegar and light notes of oysters & salty brine. Medium bodied with lively carbonation, a dry/spritzig mouthfeel, ever-so slightly syrupy texture and a superb length finish. Amazingly delicate yet infinitely complex.

at the brewery: dark pink-red, small pink-white head, little smell of cherry, not much smell, little sourness, nice fruity, quite sour finish, little bitter, nice cherry-taste because not overpowering, fizzy with oily mouthfeel

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I tasted it two times. First super fresh in the brewery I just had a sip. Second time from the tap in Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles and it feels like a two different beers. First was fresh and crisp and super sour. Second much sweeter, much more flat and dull. But still - it’s a great beer. Awesome sour flavour with cherry note, must try.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy dark pink color with pinkish head. Aroma has very nice cherry and lambic funk notes. Perfectly balanced, not too offensive on the funky farmhouse notes. Taste starts intensely fruity, with medium tartness and rustic farmhouse note on the finish. Body is medium, quite smooth and well carbonated. Dry aftertaste. This is definitely my favorite kriek and on of the best lambic beers out there.

1/12/16 750ml bottle Old Notes-Pours a darker amber with no head. Aroma of tartness, cherries, and funkiness. Taste of the same. This light bodied lambic is darn right tasty.

Cherries tart and funk, no head champagne carbonation. One of best around. So well balanced. Perfect in my opinion.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a perfect light ruby with a short-lived white head. The smell - tons of tart cherries on top of some lambic funkiness. Tastes sour with notes of cherries.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On cask at Moeder Lambic. Since it is on cask, it looks and has the mouthfeel of juice. Kind of tastes like cherry juice as well. Not really all that sour. Still, really enjoyed.
