Lambic Summit PBW 2010. A strange beer, has a weird sort of flat buttery characteristic, quite tart with apple qualities, meh.

2013 Backlog. Bottle at Zwanze day with Clocks, Puzzl, Max and Vic. Pours a deep murky brown body with thin minor lacing. Aroma is light oak, faint tart fruits, some strange flavor - mushroom? - and light spice. Mouthfeel is medium to thin, seems past its prime, with notes of oak, dusty basement, vague funky dark fruits, light vegetale character and sweet round malt.

75cl bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. It pours a clear amber colour with almost no head to speak, just few large bubbles. Aroma is full on cognac, rich an sweet with vanilla and red grapes. Some light funk and barnyard. Taste is again quite sweet with intense cognac notes, vanilla sweet red wine, some light zestiness in the finish. Wood is there as well as some booze. Medium body with soft carbonation. Overall, very glad I got to try this one but you can certainly find better Cantillons and better cognacs out there.

Bottle sampled at Moeder Lambic. So incredibly excited for this opportunity. Opened with my wife Molly and two new friends we met earlier in the day at Cantillon. Pours a flat muddy orange in color with some light bubble formation around the edges of my glass. The nose is comprised mainly of oak and cognac/spirit with a small amount of lemon rind and mustiness. The flavor started out buttery and lactic tartness, but as the bottle warms up to room temperature, the cognac and oak becomes more pronounced. There is a light amount of fruitiness as well. The mouthfeel is light and oily with no carbonation and a moderate finish. Very special experience getting to try this out. With that said, I think I enjoy aged 50N or Crianza more. Thanks a bunch to the Moeder staff on their excellent service and the opportunity to try this beer.

Rating #4000. 750mL bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, pours a clear golden, like cognac, with barely any head -- only a few bubbles. Aroma of heavy cognac upfront, with notes of wood and oak in the back. Flavour brings out heavy notes of cognac without being boozy, loads of wood and some oak notes. Way richer than the 50N-4E, which is just cognac around the edges, whereas this one is fully cognac indeed with a very warming effect. Excellent stuff.

Bottle @ Moeder Lambic, 02/28/2013. Pours golden caramel, maybe taking some color from the barrel, cider-like, with small bubbles initially but flat otherwise. Aroma has lambic notes, complex bouquet on top: apples, white grapes, spicy cognac, light funk and must, wood. Taste has lots of apples, white fruits, cognac, buttery lambic, strong wood notes. Light palate, yet slick, coats the tongue. A special lambic.

epic sharing @ cantillon ! damn thats a nice one to get to try ! pours blonde, no foam ( dah.. ) sweeter in the taste, dry, even some malts, very dry fginish. very much of the cognac taste ( surprise,,) also in the smell. this was drank on jan 7th 2013, was bottled in 2010 , was put into casks on 2005, so the lamůbik in here is even older than 8 years... damn... this beer is so.. fine.. its not overwhelming its just extremely balanced, you can drink 2 glasses of it, no problem, but you CAN enjoy it slowly, like a fine cognac... this is so complex , yet so drinkable. amazing !

Bottle at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pours an amber, maple syrup color with minimal head. The nose provides strong funk notes along with a distinct honey from the Cognac barrel. Palate is medium sour/tart with smooth, non astringent mouthfeel with very little (obviously) carbonation. Barnyard, musty oak, and a faint wisp of the Cognac spirit are the prevalent tastes, finishing with a bit of heat.
