3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
It was with great reapect i opened this beer, and from a brewery i have the uttest respect for. Not the same "rotten cherry aroma" as from the Kriek. 2010 vintage. One of the prettiest beers i have drunk. Big white/pink head. Clear pink rubish colour. Aroma was kind of sweet, som tart, framboise, balanced. Medium sour, tart, easy to drink, didnt fully meet my expectations, but most definitely a quality beer from a qulity brewery

75cl 2002 version. Acidic taste, green gooseberries with raspberries on the nose. Almost clear, slightly hazy pure orange with bright white head that barely sticks on the glass.

750 ml. 2010 vintage, shared with Brandon at Monkís Cafe. Foggy, red colored with a lasting ring of creamy bubbles. Aroma is tart fresh raspberry and apple with a touch of earthy vinegar and oak. Taste is the same. Light-medium body is crisp and refreshing with medium-high carbonation and a lingering mild oak finish.

2008 sticker date
Hazy strawberry color, thin white head. Nice spotty lacing.
Nose is bright strawberry, bright oak, bright funk and sour. Really solid nose.
Taste is strawberry vinegar, oak, acid, along with apple. Vibrant and fresh taste.
Feel is lively and crisp. Lots of acid but enough fruit to balance it out. Easy to drink and just fun to have. More please

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
75cl bottle. Beautiful red with medium head that dissipates rather quick.
NOSE : strong fruit aromas of cherry, raspberry, apple, grapes. Wood and tart notes. It does remind that this lambic was maturated in wine barrels.
SIP : oily texture with low carbonation. The body is thicker then water and we see the sparkling in it. Almost like candy sweetness with a very pronounced sour fruit flavors. The sourness is not out of balance, yet it lasts long. Fresh aromas and flavors are astonishing giving the fact that this lambic is 3 years old. Dry wood and apple seed bitter notes in the aftertaste.
OVERALL : again Iím not a big fan of Lambic. This one seams well balanced and refreshing. Quite complex yet itís straight forward. Even a complete stranger to whisky knows when he drinks a good whysky. This lambic gives that impression.

Raspberry, cherries, in general tons of wild berries. This sticks on your teeth :) Nice and funky. I think you get a very slight amount of hop bitterness in the end - just a hint though.

Thanks to my epic beer friend Mike for sharing. Who without which I would never get to try some of these 100 point beers. This one is very good and you can taste the refinement. Nice red berry color. Much more tart than sour and thin. Tart fruit aroma. A huge wine like feel to it. light wood. extremely dry. Fresh dry tart raspberries. Very little sweetness if any. The kind of beer you could sip on for hours to get a full appreciation for.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2013 Bottle, 2009 sticker date. Wet cork with some beer on top, but all was well in the end. Pours a hazy dark pink with a medium light pink head, creamy with good staying power and good lacing. Aroma is light funk, fruity, lemon. Flavor is very nice, very light sweetness giving way to bone dryness by the finish, light funk, medium sour. A very drinkable beer. Medium body, champagnelike carbonation. My favorite Cantillon to date - I like this better than Rose Gambrinus or Russian Riverís FFACí13. Very very nice.

O: Another winner, but everyone knows that at this point. Quite tasty @ 6 years old.
