2007er Version, rated 2009.
--> 14/12/13/13

Pours a deep red with a small pink head. Aroma is out of this world! So funky and cheesy! I could smell this glass for days! A nice tartness arises with aromas of ripe raspberry, some more funk, burnt rubber and hay. Taste is puckering tart, acidic and loaded with ripe berries. Some vinous notes creep in, along with some barrel notes. Such a kaleidoscope of flavors swirling around. The medium carbonation provides a lively, tart finish. Makes me crave the next sip!

2009 bottle pour at Teresa’s. Ruby red pour with pink head. Raspberry, apple, funk. Moderately sweet. High bitterness. Light, crisp body. My first Cantillon. It’s reputation is well deserved.

Pours a dark candy red with a medium but quickly diminishing pinkish head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of hay, cork, funk and really acid. Taste is fruity and full of real raspberries, pits and everything else. It is really acid but in an elegant way, never harsh. Flavors of wood, mushrooms and plain ol’ funk (really cheesy). Body is light and it feels vinous overall. Carbonation is on the lower side. Nice!

Bottle 750ml @ Haakonm Pours red with a pink head. Aroma has notes of raspberries, barnyard, funk, tart. Taste is light sweet and heavy sour with and long dry, sour and raspberry finish. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft to fizzy

Annata 2010. Esperienza magggica!

Gorgeous bright red colour, brighter than any other beer I’ve seen. Sour funk, flowers and raspberries in the nose, very fresh. Smell goes along the same lines but much more impressive and complex with a big burst of raspberry at the front and more flavours coming through as it warms up with a subtle wine like complexity. Absolutely brilliant.

I was able to enjoy this one at Redlight Redlight. Vintage was 2010 and bottled in 2013. This pours out a bright red with a light pink head. It has a nice sour funk in the nose. The flavor is tart and not overwhelming syrupy from the raspberries like you see with most framboise beers.

Sticker says 2010 and cork says 13. Pours bright cranberry red with a bit grayish pink head. Aroma brings subtle but pleasant tart and big fresh berry fruit. Flavor is on a whole different level, super fresh raspberries with subtle puckering being so fresh. Carbonation is right on, full body, and enhances the delicious fresh fruit raspberries. It is so smooth and fresh.

Pours hazy orange with a small pink head. Aroma of raspberry and wood notes. Dry, tart flavor that ends up solid sour and with bitter notes. Medium bodied, watery text. and soft carb. An excellen, crispt fruit lambic.
