2012 bottle. Pours a cloudy dark red with a fading bubbly light pink head. Aroma of ripe raspberries, hint of vanilla, natural yoghurt, really tart and sweet. Taste is of raspberries, really tart again, zesty, long sour finish. Hard carbonation, sticky oily mouthfeel. Delicious.

At Maakun’s. The cannon is out and pours a dark pink/red glass with a head that shows a nice gradient from white to pink top to bottom. Smell of bruised fresh raspberries. Amazing deep raspberry aroma. More raspberry flavor than raspberries themselves. Strong and fierce sour with sweet fruit notes. Beautiful stuff! Massive thanks! ;-) best framboise beer up to point.

Wow, was ein Hammer.

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. The beer has got a deep hazy pink-red colour with a medium body. Aroma of unripe raspberries, vinegar and acid. Taste of unripe raspberries, raspberry vinegar, citric, acid and unripe red berries. Very sour and vinegar-like finish.

Bottle. Pleasant and distinct aroma of raspberries. Taste refreshing and mouth puckeringly sour with long aftertaste.

Pours deep purplish pink with a small beige/pinkish head. Nose: sweet bonbon raspberry, a tart vinous feel, also lemon freshness with full raspberry jam. Awsome nose. Thick oily mouthfeel that builds in the mouth. Very fresh initially. Taste: Very fresh again, very tart, very sour and very fruity. Big sour, spicy raspberry, vanilled oak and extremely mouthcoating. Fruity aftertaste that leads to a tart and drying finish. Love!

From notes on 9/10/15. Was able to buy a 2012 Lou Pepe Framboise for on premise consumption only at Cantillon. Heck of a deal at 14 euro. Must say wow, this is easily the best Lambic/sour beer I’ve had. Big sweet berry smell. Had a huge barnyard aroma that I like too. Tons of tart delicious raspberry flavor. Just one freakin awesome beer.
