Ungstrup (10863), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 30, 2003 [Mine said vintage 2000 on the bottle but 2002 on the cork??? - drunk November 2003] The aroma is fresh fruity - very much like a geueze should be. The color is orange and it has a fine head while pouring but then it disappears. The flavor is a fresh geueze flavor: fruit, acidity and a slight sourness turning a lot towards a sour grapefruit. A very nice geueze. Thanks a lot to Alex (fiulijn) for trading me this. omhper (10144), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 30, 2002 1999 version. Golden coloured. Acidic aroma. Oaky with balanced acidity and a surpring hint oh honey sweetness. Sparkling mouthfeel. Bears some resemblance to a very dry well wooded white wine. Papsoe (9774), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 23, 2006 (Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy, deep golden with no head whatsover. Distinct - yet mellow - acidic aroma with notes of horse blanket and all that. Fairly light in body, vaguely sourt with Brett accents. One of the more smooth and accessible gueuzes. 281006 Oakes (6793), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 23, 2001 Earthy and sour, but not as much as the brewery’s other gueuzes. Still a lot of funkiness, and cheesy, dry hay flavours, and a vibrant body. joergen (6148), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 24, 2005 Bottled.
Cloudy orange coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Fruity aroma with notes of wood.
Acidic flavour of apples and notes of wood.
Harsh finish.
