COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh sour cherries (krieken) in two year old Lambiek. We use approximately 300 gr cherries for 1 liter Kriek. The second fermentation in the bottle is obtained through addition of a liqueur, made with beer and saccharose.

Bottle (2006). Sampled at gregwilsonstl’s tasting. It poured a ruby red color with a pink head. The aroma was of cherries, barnyard, citrus, earth, leather and some funk. The taste was similar to the aroma with more tart cherries, funk, wood, earth with a dry woody cherry finish. Very tasty.

Sampled at gregwilsons tasting. Thanks Vyvvy. Amber brown. Only a little head. Vinegar with funk, earth, bark, etc in the aroma. Oh, cherries, too. Gawd, so much going on. Cherries, wildness, bark, wood. Vinegar, and well, wow.

2012 bottle. Pours a rich dark red with a thin mostly lasting light pink bubble head. Aroma of cherries, hint of pine, really sour and tart, some lactose notes. Taste is dominated by cherries, hint of cranberry, long dry sour finish. Sticky light mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

The best kriek lambic I’ve ever had. Deep red pour with a fizzy pink head. No lacing. Aroma of yeasts and cherries. Flavour is deep, sour cherries, yeasts, funk, and wine come through strong. Delicious.

Really incredible stuff. This is perhaps my favorite beer made by Cantillon. So many great thoughts but not enough space.

From notes on 9/10/15. They must have liked us, because they gave us a pitcher on the house of this while there were bottling it in the other room. Since it was not bottled yet, the beer had no carbonation. Huge delicious cherry taste. Deep red in color. Would love to get a bottle, but, not going to happen.
