emerson430 (86), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jul 2, 2008 Light pink pour with a bubbly effervescence. Very enjoyable lambic but not as sour as some of the others by cantillion.
Brix (368), Denmark Dec 30, 2008 Tasted 2008-12-30. Bottle from 2005. Pours dark purple/red - almost black. Quickly dissappearing head. Smells sour, rough. Barnyardish. Some hidden sweet cherries in there. Very acidic and yet somewhat bitter taste. Very wild. Quite tasty. hombrepalo (568), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 29, 2008 On Tap @ Maproom. Pale pinky red color with a minimal head. Great aroma and taset of wonderful sour cherries. A little bit of lambic funkiness to go along with it. The flavor is somewhat watery but fantastic none-the-less. A bit too easy to drink for the price. Travlr (427), Washington, Washington DC, USA Dec 21, 2008 Purple haze. Aroma of sour cherries being chewed by horses. Sour at the back of the palate, with fruit up front. Musty dry finish. Clasic NobleSquirrel (782), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 20, 2008 2006 on draft at Map Room. Pours a nice, purpley pink red. Nose is quite subdued, relatively. Nice oak notes with old grass and hay, cherry fruit roll-ups and a little funk. Taste is much the same. very subdued acidity for a Cantillon. Mellow and tart with a definite cherry taste. Finish is nice and long with oak notes and more cherry coming through. Much preferred to Schaerbeekse, actually. Very nice. Beerdedone (1663), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 16, 2008 Pours a ruby red with a thin pink head. Aroma of sour cherries, wood and barnyard funk.
