JoeinUccle (569), Brussels, Belgium Apr 3, 2008 On tap @ Moeder Lambic. Opaque beer, no head, the color of fresh apple cider. Lemony and funky-sour apple nose. Sour and earthy flavor with citrus and harsh apple-skin. Difficult but very interesting. Just a touch of acid, mostly flat. Love going back to ponder it again and again. Scauca (178), Lovere, Italy Mar 31, 2008 Tap. Nice hazy golden with orange hues and no head at all. Very fruity, peaches, apples, lemons, wood, little barnyard, nice sourness, very refreshing and dry. Mes_and_Sim (3650), London, England Sep 16, 2007 A Mes rate:
Draught at Bruxellensis. Slightly hazy dark gold. Great aroma of whiskey, plenty tannin and dry and earthy. Flavour as the nose but with a lovely mellow dry and tart finish. Glorious lambik, entirely as expected. bierkoning (4450), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 10, 2007 Bruxellensis. 3 years old. Very intense aroma. Honey, grapefruit, lemon, wood. Oaky flavor. All what I found in the aroma comes back with the same complexity and intensity. No carbon, off course, totally flat. Close to perfection. DSG (428), Yuvalim, Israel Sep 1, 2007 Cask at the brewery. Orange color with no head. Acidic aroma of lemons and barnyard. Very sour, funky and bretty flavor with citrus and some astringency. A very dry finish with a touch of bitterness. Medium-bodied and totally flat.
