Looks great. Hazy reddish orange colour with a small creamy white head. Acidic aroma of grapefruit with notes of bloodoranges, strawberries, hay and wood. Acidic flavour of grapefruit, lemon-peels with notes of red grapes and grapestones. Hints of cork. Sparkling and really fresh mouthfeel. Acidic, citrousy aftertaste of red grape-skins and wood. Very good!

<!-- I -->Bottle @ Akkurat, Stockholm 24 May 2006<!-- /i --><!-- br -->Plenty of the regular Cantillon taste in this. Lovely orangey red colouring. Not very much wine charactier initially in this one, maybe some in the aftertaste. Very dry. The wine content is more a feeling than an obvious taste.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2006 What can I say, it seems like the combination Cantillon/Akkurat is a match made in heaven. First Soleil de Minuit, then the outstanding Goldackerl and now the 2 Reed.....!!
Sampled this deep down in the cellar of Akkurat last October graciously served by the bars owner Sten - thank you so much!! Pours a beautiful deep golden reddish body with a small head. The aroma is extremely vinous with a sharp tart berry and grapefruit character and hints of x-mas spices, where ever they came from?! Very full and complex. Flavor is tart berry and grapefruit again with a well balanced light spicyness and a complexity that I can only categorize as superb! So tasty the angels are singing in the sky! One single word can describe this: WOW!

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2006 Bottled. Cloudy reddish purple, brief head. Underneath the trademark acidic Cantillon aroma there is a mere hint of blueberries and red wine. Heavily acidic witj plenty of citric acid. Very dry. The Pinot Noirs are evident, but in comparison with most fruit lambics they are more subdued. Concentrated citiricity - it feels like one of the most hardcore acidic Cantillons. Some light grape stone bitterness finishes it off. Good and elegant, but perhaps not as extravagant as you might have thought.
