COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"It has the colour of onion skin", said a voice behind me. It was Raymond Coumans. He was admiring the colour of the raspberry lambic reflecting in the red copper of the buckets used to empty the barrels. At that time (1986), "Raspberry-Lambic" already was synonymous with a sweet, artificially flavoured beer. This is why we decided to distinguish our beer from the other raspberry beers. Raymond proposed to call it a rosé, dedicated not to Bacchus but to Gambrinus.

The process to make this beer is identical to the one to make Kriek. When young, the Rosé de Gambrinus will still present its full fruity taste. Later on, the lambic taste will become dominant at the expense of the fruit taste.

Bouteille (nov2013). Bootlegger. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

We just bought a 75cl bottle in the brasserie cantillon. Excellent beer, with a really nice color of pomegranate. Not artificial flavor of raspberry at all. It’s just a really great beer 100% recommended.

37.5 cL bottle at home. Pours hazy orange/pink with a large off-white head. Aroma is a bit sour with quite some barnyard, typical Cantillon, some fruitiness and raspberries. Taste is medium sour with quite some barnyard, a little bit of raspberries, wood, and a slightly dry finish. Medium body and carbo. Nice, but not much raspberry.

From notes. Enjoyed at the Ashley’s Rare & Vintage Beer TasteFest on June 07. The pour is a nice foggy gold with hints of reddish-orange and a thin off-white-yet-lightly-pink head and no lacing. The aroma is big sour and fruits, yet lightly floral. The flavor is a blast of the sourness backed up by a nice fruitiness. I was surprised at how sour it seemed up front, and there was a lack of much else. The mouth feel isn’t extraordinarily thin, but the carbonation is pretty great. The aftertaste actually changes a little, from a sour bomb with a smooth fruitiness that lingers beautifully

Belle couleur rose rouge.

Top.

750 ml bottle shared with the wife. Pours a hazy dark pink, reddish color with a small pinkish head. The aroma and flavor have tart raspberries, a surprising amount of cherry as well, tart to sour, moderate plus acidity, a touch lactic, some funk, some wood, the body feels thin which is a minor drawback, the drinkability helps to make up for that.

Bottle from Douberd and shared by MichaelAwesome - many thanks! The lambic pours out in a light hazy pink-red colour with airy head and medium body. Wonderful nose of sour berries and grapes. Taste of fresh raspberries, sour berries, leaves and acid. Nice sour finish. Enjoyed it a lot.

Strong raspberry aroma. Some funk, some grassiness, some wet hay. Taste has a lot more funk, and a very distinct tartness that is just on the border of too much. Nice, refreshing, and surprisingly fruity.

Shared with the crew. Never picked this up when it was readily available but finally getting a chance to circle back here. Super floral aroma with a musty dirty earthy funk to it. Flavor is fruit and lots of it obviously. Earthy and dirt again later on the palate. Reddish orange color. Little bit of spie on the finish. You are left with a syrupy red fruit long lasting flavor again as well.
