3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottled 9/11/2013 bottle opened 21/08/14
Red/pink pour with fast vanishing white pink head. Aroma is strong strong funk (almost unpleasant), sour, berries. Taste is less funk with more raspberry character and berries sweetness, taste is not as complex as other cantillon crafts.
Mouthfeel is nice with a bubbly texture. Sour is strong but maybe it will ease with time.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Clear pink-red with a quickly diminishing white fizzing head. The aroma is fresh raspberries, that reminds me of picking buckets full of them at my parents at Christmas time (Tasmania, summer christmas!). The flavour is perfect--tart raspberries, with plenty of acidity. And yet the flavour that lingers and coats the lips is sweet. Slightly vinegary, and dry, with an impression of grapefruit also.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Akkurat, October, 2013. Pours beautifully deep hazy reddish pink with a small pink quickly settling head that leaves a lid on the surface. Aroma of fresh, sour red berries, raspberries foremost, dried flowers, wood and a light funky tone. Taste is sour and tart, raspberries, a slight nuance of roundness balances up the tartness, a dry and sour finish with red berries and minerals. Medium to full body, medium carbo. Nicely done.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2014 At my place with Taylor, Justin, Kristen, and Matt. ’09 vintage. Pours orange murky, lacing. Aroma is medium acidity, Lambic. Taste is medium to heavy acidity, hint of raspberry, complex and refreshing.
At Akkurat with Taylor. 2000 vintage 375 ml bottle. Pours pumpkin orange with circle of lacing. Aroma is medium to on the heavy side for Cantillon, some light red fruits, light Cantillon funk. I fear this beer is past it’s prime at 14 years. Taste is fantastic funk, mouth picking acidity, cherries are present, but distant and hard to identify as cherries. Once I added the dregs it really opened the beer up and the hint of earthy notes from them balanced the acidity a little. Love, but would probably prefer with about half the age. 4.3

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by Tom10101, thanks! Pours red with a pink head. No lacing. Aroma is of fruits (raspberries and cherries), flower (rose), barnyard and notes of rubber (not unpleasant though). Taste is iressively sour and gives lot of spaces to the fruity notes. As good as it gets when we talk about fruit lambics. Refreshing and drinkable.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Slightly hazy dark pink color with small light pink head. Massive raspberry on the nose. Aroma of sour red berries and raspberry. Subdued graininess with light funk and hay. Taste is intense sour with an acidic touch. Light to medium bodied with prickly carbonation and overall quite dry. Really good, the best fruit beer I've ever had.
