COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"It has the colour of onion skin", said a voice behind me. It was Raymond Coumans. He was admiring the colour of the raspberry lambic reflecting in the red copper of the buckets used to empty the barrels. At that time (1986), "Raspberry-Lambic" already was synonymous with a sweet, artificially flavoured beer. This is why we decided to distinguish our beer from the other raspberry beers. Raymond proposed to call it a rosé, dedicated not to Bacchus but to Gambrinus.

The process to make this beer is identical to the one to make Kriek. When young, the Rosé de Gambrinus will still present its full fruity taste. Later on, the lambic taste will become dominant at the expense of the fruit taste.

Poured bright clear ted with a bubbly head the same colour. Aroma of sweet raspberry pulp. Medium body, flavour is very bitter for a framboise.

Bottled early 2014, so a year and a half old, the raspberry flavours are still fresh, with just a hint of lambic on the finish. Very good .

2015/05/02 - Bottle at Nuetnigenough in Brussels. Pours a hazy dark pink (cream soda) colour with a fizzy, light pink head that slowly reduces. Aroma is raspberries, mild barnyard funk and slight oak. Taste is tart raspberries, lemon and slight vinegar. Very sour and a little sweet. Mouthfeel is light with slightly sharp carbonation and a long, tart finish. Very refreshing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very well carbonated. Wild yeast palate destroyer. Tart raspberries, cherry, some grapefruit, lemon. Sour notes can be overwhelming. Long finish like you’re sucking on a lemon. Interesting, not Ma favorite from them.

Fantastisk fin stor rosa krona! Och hallonish färgad öl. Suverän hallondoft! Syrlig hallonkompott. Som en sommaräng. Mycket syra. Lång eftersmak som av surhet smiskar sig in igenom hela gommen & ligger kvar. Lätt kropp men ändå fyllig. Syran & hallonen är kanon! Love it! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a must have beer in your portfolio. You have to try it to know who is cantillon. A lot of fruit when you taste eat, really clean mouth when you finish to drink it, you can drink a lot of pint of it, so strange for a lambic.
